The sun is there

And it crashes like waves

Your breathing becoming the sea

Each breath-in ripping away from the shore

Each breath-out crashing down upon you with every voice in your head

That tells you not to take another breath

To drown in the sea you are creating.

But still you breathe in.

Because you are fighting.

Because you are strong.

Because although every fiber in your body threatens to break under the stress

You believe.

I believe.

The wind may be slamming at your face and not your back

And the rain may be pouring into your mouth and not onto the flowers

But you know it is just the weather.

The sun is there.
