Sato goes to sleep pretty early, but Eiji can't sleep. He knows where Ash lives, Ash knows he's here, and he's still in love with Ash. He searches every corner of his brain to try and find an answer, but nothing prevails. Alright, I'll try it, if it goes wrong, it is what it is, he thinks. Knowing it's a risk, Eiji gets up and runs to the building.

This feeling is familiar to him, the cold air against his warm face, hair flying in the wind, smog infecting his lungs, but not stopping his movement, all of it is familiar. Running for Ash, that's what's familiar about it, whether trying to get help to protect them against Author or running to get to him, it's all the same to Eiji. The last time he ran like this was when Ash was helping him on his endurance, for future need, all Eiji could think about was how happy Ash looked to be teaching him the streets he grew up on.

Once he gets to the correct building, he doesn't stop running and heads to the room. Usually stairs would kill him, he hasn't been that active in Japan, but now he feels as though he could run up a thousand flights of stairs, if that means he could get to Ash. At the door he stands with his fist in the air ready to knock, but doesn't. Though this may seem like a long time, Eiji stood there for a little more than ten minutes debating whether or not to go in. Does he even love me anymore? he thinks, anymore, did he even like me to begin with? Finally he chooses to knock. Bones answered the door.

"Eiji? I-uh, come in" He stutters over his words as he back up into the room

"Thank you" Eiji says blandly as he walks past

Bones leads him to the ripped up, pink couch and gives him a rotten orange. On his way to the couch Eiji notices that the bedroom door, where he and Ash used to sleep, is open and the room inside is pitch black. Bones walks into another room and whispers to everyone else. This place has gotten much worse since the last time I was here, Eiji thinks, I guess the 'Banana Fish' thing really drained them. As he sits down, he hears a light, almost silent footstep behind him. He lets out a smirk, but quickly returns to a neutral face.

"You're not subtle, Ash, I know you're there" Eiji says without turning around. Hearing Eiji say his name made Ash understand why he was so in love with this man.

"Come in here" Ash commands

"As you wish" Eiji says, he chuckles inwardly, remembering how obedient he had to be last time. He walks into the middle of the dark room without looking around for anyone. Closing the door and turning on the lights, Ash holds him at gunpoint, the same gun he had last time. The white bandage-looking-things wrapped around the handle, but now the gun is all beat up and the pain is chipping away.

"What do you want?" Ash asks, keeping a serious face is killing him

"I want-... I wanted to-.." He couldn't think of why came. Unable to keep his poker face he threw his upper body to the ground and knelt. "I'm- you are-" Eiji couldn't get the words out

"I am what?" Ash insists

"I'M SORRY I LEFT YOU ALONE. I'M SORRY. I'M SORRY. I'M SORRY. I'M SORRY. I'M-

"Get off my floor and leave" Ash interrupts coldly, he's hurt, but he can't show it. Though silent at first, this made Eiji smile with pride and glee. "What are you smiling about?" Ash demands. There is a long pause as Eiji just sits there and smiles.

"I'm not your weakness anymore" Eiji says happily. Another long pause as the blonde lowers his arm.

"Oh Eiji," Ash says in Japanese, dropping his gun "you've always been my weakness" he kicks the gun away and brings out his arms for a hug.

Kicking himself off the floor, Eiji runs to Ash. Ash pulls his face in and kisses him. The kiss lasts for a solid minute. They stand there in a hug for a long time.
