Someone asked me why I make books where the character's dad isn't ever around or is just not in the characters life.

It's because, I don't know how to write about a dad. I don't know what dads do or what their purpose is besides producing the sperm cell that made you.

I don't have a dad myself (he was a bitch and left my mother and I early on) and the whole dad thing just is unfamiliar to me.

Whenever I do have dads in my stories, they're homophobic, solely for the fact that I know what homophobic people are like.

So if you guys wanna give me prompts or an idea of how a father would act towards a child that'd be cool and it would probably improve my writing.
