Choosing, by definition, is picking the best or most appropriate of two or more alternatives. People tend to go with the safest option, unless the reward is worth the risk. That just is how the circuit is, us trying to be preservative.

On a multiple choice quiz there are commonly two answers that don't make sense and two answers that seem correct.
Would you drink both bottles if one could be antitoxin?

We are given the ability to think and reflect.
But life can sometimes feel like a multiple choice test you did not study for. Your answers have good, bad, but mostly different effect.

That's why the definition says best or most appropriate, and not perfect.
