(Like I said in the last chapter, this chapter will be different. There will be POVs stated in this chapter like chapter 1.)

Third person

After everyone went to the cafe at the hospital they started to discuss. They talked about how they went missing, why they went missing, more. After a long conversation. Everyone went back to their respected rooms.

Shuichi POV

I started walking home after everyone went back to their rooms. Maki, who was by my side, was walking home with me. While we were walking in a calming but so of awkward silence we heard something in the trees.

"Huh-? Maki wait." I told her. She stopped in her tracks and crossed her arms. "It's probably just a cat stuck in a tree. Leave it alone Saihara." She spoke, looking away from me as she looked at her phone. "No..I don't think it was a cat. I think-" I gulpped briefly, "I think someone is in there..Maki?" She looked at me with frustration.

"Shuichi. Let's go. We'll miss the bus." She, once again, turned away from me. As soon as she started walking I grabbed her wrist.

"What the..Get off Saihara. Let's go!" Maki yelled at me. I was shaken by her response and let go. "But..but Maki..." "No. Lets go." She turned from me and grabbed my hand.  Pulling me, she squeezed my hand in rage.

As I winced in pain she let me go so we could get on the bus. Before I could even sit down she grabbed my hand and rushed me to the back of the bus. I whispered to her, "What was that for?" She looked at me and whispered back, "We were gonna miss the bus. I had to."

I sighed and laughed at the response but I feel like I'm gonna need an ice pack for my hand when I get home.

Maki POV

Shuichi waved goodbye as he left the bus. My stop was three stops away from Shuichi's stop. And my stop was two stops away from...Kaito. My mind went fully blank.

Where did he go? Then I remembered what Saihara told me before I dragged him on the bus.

"No..I don't think it was a cat. I think- I think someone is in there..Maki?"

What if it was Kaito? I should text Shuichi about this. Then *DINGGGG DONGGGG*

My eyes shot up as I looked around. I missed my stop. I was near Kaito's stop so I decided to go there. Maybe he left for his family?

I opened my phone and started texting Shuichi.

Maki: Shuichi. Hi.

Shuichi: Oh hey Maki! What do you need?

Maki: I'm heading to Kaito's house.

Shuichi: Wait what? How do you know where he lives?

Maki: Address in my uniform. And it's because I've missed my stop. I was thinking about what you said before.

Shuichi: Oh. Are you okay though?

Maki: Yes, I'm fine. But do you really think someone was in that forest?

Shuichi: Well it's just a prediction, really. It didn't sound like it came from the trees so I thought it was a person.

Maki: I see. Maybe let's investigate tomorrow?

Maki: I gotta go. I'll tell you what happens after.

Shuichi: Yeah sure. And okay. Bye bye! Stay safe and text me if something happens!

*DINGGGGG DONGGGG*

That's the stop. I got off briefly and started to Kaito's house. I looked around for his house. There. I walked up the porch and knocked on the door. As soon as I knocked, it slightly opened.

I took the chance and walked inside. No one. I guess Kaito isn't here. Let's look around.

Nothing, nothing, cane, nothing. Wait cane? I looked closer. Kaito Momota. I bet it's an extra. I better tell Saihara.

Maki: Saihara.

Shuichi: Oh found anything Maki?

Maki: The door was open so I went inside.

Maki: Nohing was there except for a cane that said "Kaito Momota" on it.

Shuichi: No way. Really? We need to investigate two things now then.

Shuichi: Let's skip school for this. I know it sounds bad but we should for this sake.

Maki: Exactly.

Maki: I'm gonna leave this place. Meet you at 8:30 AM tomorrow morning?

Shuichi: Yeah. That will be enough time to get all my soon to be missed work. See you tomorrow!

Maki: Bye, Shuichi.

I shut down my phone and head for the bus stop again. Not closing the door fully so we can still get inside.

Oh god Kaito. Where did you go..
