As I walked in the house, Erik was in the living room arguing with my aunt. I ignored it, and walked up to my room. Just as I got up there, Benny was walking out of Erik's room.
"Hey," I smiled.
"Hello," he said back, before he walked into the bathroom. I unlocked my room door, went inside, then sat on my bed.
A knock came at the door a few moments later.
"Come in, Benny," I laughed. He entered.
"So, what made you decide to come back over?" I asked.
"I can't stay mad at the guy for 10 minutes," he chuckled.
"So, he told you what happened?" I asked.
"Yeah," he said, "he told me everything. I figured, in the time that I'm losing being mad at him, I could be helping him, you know? I mean, he can never be Straight Edge again, he sold out, but he can stay clean and still be drug free." I had to admit, Benny had a point.
"Why are him and my aunt arguing?" I asked.
"She found out," he simply stated. I mouthed an "oh" and nodded.
"So, where have you been all day?" Benny finally asked, breaking the silence. .
"Well, I went for a walk, and met one of my neighbors. We went to the park and hung out. He's really cool, and fun," I smiled.
"Oh, uh, that's cool. Who is he? What's his name?" he questioned curiously.
"Um, well, his name is Zack and--" he cut me off.
"Oh god, please don't tell me, Zack Baker?!" he said, almost in an angry tone.
I nodded, "That fucking little bastard," he said.
"What? That's really mean," I said.
"He a fucking asshole," He nearly yelled.
"He was really nice to me," I said.
"Yeah, just because he's trying to get in your pants," he said, walking out of my room and slamming the door behind him.
I was almost in a daze. I didn't think I was doing anything wrong, and I definitely didn't think Zacky was. And why would Benny care so much anyways about who I'm with and who I'm talking to? This made me a little pissed off deep down inside. I looked out of my bedroom window and saw Benny walking down the street towards his house. I shook my head, and closed the blinds.
Around 11pm, I started to get really tired. Erik and my aunt had barely stopped fighting only a half-an-hour before. I went in his room a little while later to check on him and see what happened.
When I walked in, he was sitting on his bed listening to his iPod. He removed the headphones when he saw me come in.
"Hey," he said, throwing his iPod on the desk next to his bed.
"Hi," I replied, sitting at his desk chair.
"Sooo, what's up?" he asked.
"Just came to check on you. What happened with you and Auntie?" I asked.
"I guess she heard me and Benny arguing and found out what happened. By the way, why did Benny leave so pissed off?" he questioned.
"Well, him and I got into a little argument. Actually, he got into a little immature argument with me. What crawled up his ass and died? He's being a dick today," I replied.
"He hella likes you," Erik grinned.
"Shut up," I hissed.
"Seriously, dude. He hella likes you. All he does is talk about you."
I stopped and thought about it. Maybe he did like me.
"Well, the whole reason he got mad was because I was hanging out with your friend Zack," I informed him.
"He likes youuuuuuuuuuuuu!" Erik teased, "Oh, and what'd you think of Zack? He's hella cool." I shrugged, starting to give into the thought of Benny liking me.
"I like Zack. He's really nice. We're gonna hang out again tomorrow," I said.
"Awwww, can you see yourself with him?" Erik asked, smiling really big.
"Shut up, you're hella dumb!" I answered, my cheeks red as tomatoes. I hit him with a pillow and walked back to my room.
"Goodnight, lover-girl!" he yelled.
