Author's POV

It was about 4:30 in the afternoon
on a Saturday.
Ni-Ki would be leaving in the next
10 minutes or so.
He was actually the last person there.
Sunghoon had already left and
Doyun didn't come in today.

The lights were on in the convenience
store, making it still seem open.
Ni-Ki grabbed the keys on the counter
to lock to door.
Ni-Ki didn't pay attention to the outside
at that very moment.

He was about to grab the handle of the door
when someone outside opened the door.
He looked up and met eyes with
the one and only Jay.
Ni-Ki hasn't seen all Jay's facial features,
he could only guess that it was him
because of his eyes and well, he sees
him all the time, so.

"Oh! You're about to lock up,
aren't you?"
Jay asked.
Ni-Ki nodded his head with a smile.
"Sorry," Jay said.
The older was about to leave when Ni-Ki
grabbed his hand.
"Get what you want,
I'm meant to lock up in 10 minutes
but I just wanna leave,"
Ni-Ki said.

Ni-Ki saw Jay smiling under his mask.
"Thank you."
Jay stepped further inside,
going past Ni-Ki.

We all know that Jay comes here
just to talk to Ni-Ki.
He does buy things but that's not the
main reason why...
Anyway!
Jay ended up getting just a small
packet of chips.

But Jay actually knows that
the store closes around this time on a Saturday.
He wanted to hang out with
Ni-Ki outside of the store.
They only ever talk while in the store.

Jay had just payed for the
packet of chips.
They were both standing at the
counter, talking.
"So...uhhh...I was wondering if you're
doing anything after this,"
Jay started off with,
"because, I thought we could
go for a walk...or something?
I don't know, it was just a thought—"
"Sure,"
Ni-Ki agreed.

"Oh! Ok, that's great."
Jay all of sudden started stuttering,
stammering, stumbling on his words.
"So, if you would like, we could go
for a walk? Maybe?"
Jay suggested.
"Ok, I'll just lock up and we can leave."

Ni-Ki walked to a entrance door
and locked it.
He then turned off the lights,
only having the sun outside
for light.

"Let's go."
Ni-Ki opened a door that led
them outside.
Jay trailed after Ni-Ki,
walking up the alleyway.

"Where did you wanna go?"
Ni-Ki asked.
"Uhh...I want to go somewhere..."
"Well, I know you want to go somewhere,
but where is that exactly?"
Ni-Ki questioned, right as
they made it to the main street.

"I thought of going for a walk.
We could head to a park? Perhaps?"
Ni-Ki took a second to process everything.
"Ah! I know a park! Follow me!"
Ni-Ki grabbed Jay's hand and
speed-walked towards whichever
park he had in mind.

Jay kept a note of where they were.
It wasn't anywhere extremely
crowded or packed.
Which was quite surprising
due to the amount of small stores,
picnic areas and the little pond that
had a small number of ducks.

"What's this?"
Jay asked,
noticing how they entered a small
area of the park that had been cut off
or unnoticeable.
It was surrounded by grass hedges
and some ubiquitous
  roses that had a wide range of colours.
