Author's POV
"Why? It's freezing outside!"
Ni-Ki whined.
"You gotta stick up the sign!"
Ni-Ki's co-worker, Sunghoon,
was asking Ni-Ki to put a sign on the
windows of the store.
The sign was just saying that were we
hiring for more employees.
Nothing too out of the ordinary.
"Why can't you do it?"
Ni-Ki pointed his finger at Sunghoon.
"Well, I have work to do."
"What work? No one's here!"
It wasn't a very busy day today.
Very quiet.
"I...I need to make a call.
Just hang it up would ya!"
Ni-Ki sighed before grabbing the sign.
It was not a large sign at all,
to be honest, it was more smaller if anything.
It's just that, today's so cold.
Ni-Ki didn't want to be standing
outside for a long period of time.
But Ni-Ki went outside and
hurriedly stuck the sign up on the window.
He checked if it seemed straight.
He was about to step inside when
a person yelled out "HEY! NI-KI!"
N-Ki looked behind himself,
searching the half-empty street.
He saw someone waving their
arms, maybe trying to his attention?
The person was looking directly at him.
"Ni-Ki!!"
The person yelled before walking
across the road to get to him.
Ni-Ki focused on the person,
forgetting about the cold weather, and
then realised that it was a friend of his.
"Jungwon hyung?"
Ni-Ki questioned, once his friend, Jungwon,
got up to him.
"Hey, Ni-Ki. I see you're working,"
Jungwon said.
"Yeah, though today's been very quiet."
"I understand. I'm going to
get some coffee at Sunrise Coffee,
do you want to tag along?
I'm sure Sunghoon wouldn't mind if he
was by himself for an hour or two,"
Jungwon offered.
Ni-Ki pursed his lips,
thinking whether he should reject
going with Jungwon or not.
"You know what? Sure, it wouldn't hurt.
I'll go tell him."
Jungwon simply nodded his head
and watched as Ni-Ki stepped into
the convenience store.
"Sunghoon?"
Ni-Ki called out.
Sunghoon walked out from the
storage room, wondering what was
the matter.
"Jungwon's offered me to go get some
coffee with him. Can I go? Ok, thanks!"
Sunghoon didn't get a
chance to respond.
Obviously, Sunghoon wanted to
say no but Ni-Ki walked out
before he could do so.
Now Sunghoon's alone, all
by himself.
But luckily a co-worker of theirs,
Kim Doyun,
would be arriving
very, very soon.
(Kim Doyun is not an idol,
just a random girl name I chose.)
Ni-Ki happily walked back to Jungwon.
"From the way you're smiling,
I'm guessing he said yes?"
"Well, no, I didn't let him say anything."
Jungwon lightly chuckled and they
soon started to walk up the pathway
to the cafe Jungwon wanted to go to.
"That place! Over there!"
Jungwon pointed to Sunrise Coffee,
which was very close them.
It seemed like a very warm cafe.
It had a fair bit of people inside,
not too much to the point that it looked uncomfortable.
