Damon drove us home after the carnival. It never went further than the kiss. I was broken and he knew not to push me for anything, being that he was secretly a gentleman. He had apparently had Stefan with him when he came to find me, who is now droving my car back home as well. Probably already home with it honestly. We had spent a while at the Carnival.

When we got home, Damon got me two bags of blood to help me feel a bit better. Before letting me rest in his room. He had himself curled around me, his arm around my waist as I drifted to sleep.

I woke up to feeling cold. Really cold. Maybe even abnormally. When I turned over, Damon was gone. I knew he wouldn't last with his disappearing act. I wasn't meant for this universe and fate was making sure I knew that.

Sitting up, I felt like I couldn't breath, rushing to the bathroom and leaning over the toilet, all the blood I ate before going to sleep came back up. The feeling of a burn in the back of my throat that was similar to when acid comes up and you take a drink of soda. I felt someone flashing to me, a warm hand resting on my back and another holding my hair back as the blood came out of my mouth.

"Alexa, what's happening?? What's wrong??" I heard Damon ask, his voice frantic and confused. When the blood vomit stopped coming, I grabbed a towel, wiping my face as I turned to look at Damon.

"Yo-you're still here?" I questioned, staring into his concerned eyes. His eyebrows knitting together in utter confusion.

"Of course I am. I told you, I wanted more than a distraction." He whispered, pushing some hair out of my face. "Now, tell me what's wrong." He demanded, his eyes looking at my face, trying to spot a flaw or maybe even a sign of what is wrong with me.

"I-I don't know. Tha-that wolf gave me venom.. Maybe it's forcing it's way out of my system now?" I questioned, "Or too mu-much fried food at the carnival." I laughed hopelessly as I started to cough at the action. Damon moved his hand behind my back, rubbing circles on it to sooth me.

"Let's get you back to bed. Maybe some rest will help." He offered, scooping me up like a child like he always did and carried me back to his head. Damon pulled the blanket around me tightly, tucking me in.

"You're not staying?" I asked with a slight cough.

"I'll be right back. I was making breakfast, but I'll also get a hot water bottle for you. Maybe it'll help." He told me, before flashing away. A shiver ran through me as I pulled on the blanket more, trying to calm the chills that were running along my spine.

Damon took another 20minutes before he flashed back to me, holding a bowl of soup and water on a tray, along with one of those red hot water bottles they used in the old days. It was wrapped in a thin hand towel though as he lifted my head up to place it behind my neck. The warmth being welcomed by my chilled skin. I assume this is what Vampires from Twilight usually felt. So happy I wasn't there.

"Think you can eat?" He asked, I shook my head no with a slight pout, trying to be cute. That failed though since I started to cough some. Damon sighed, climbing into the bed behind me, pulling me close to him. "I called Stefan. He's looking into the side effects of wolf venom."

"Wolf venom is deadly to Vampires, Damon.." I told him, turning slightly to look at him. His eyes stared at me intensely. "He said he didn't give me enough to kill me though. I don-don't understand." I coughed, covering my mouth as I did. "What if- What if the world is trying to push me out? I-I don't belong here. Neither does Lexi, technically.." My mind was going a mile a minute. It would make sense. My body rejecting the blood that I fed from since in my world I wasn't a vampire. What would be next though? Would I desiccate? Would I grow old like what happens to Katherine in the future? Or would I just simply fade away?

"You could just be sick. Let's not jump to any conclusions. You'll get better. I know you will." He whispered, his tone dead set in his ways. I shook my head as he snuggled his face into my hair.

"Vampire's don't get sick, Damon."
