The worm was laying in its own pile of food, moaning and squirming miserably to straighten its heavy body. Covered with gravy, crumbles and sweat, it was more disgusting than ever, and Lola almost vomited when witnessing this miserable spectacle. Beside the child, Haru was panting. The dose of adrenaline she had received had been powerful enough to wake her up and give her a boost of energy, but she was still exhausted by the recent events.

- No... the worm stammered. Not this one... She's not... yet... fertilized... !

Lola turned to the young archer, full of hope : it was for this reason that Haru was not trapped in a cocoon, as the others were, and remained in control of her abilities. As she had been delivered to him the same day, the vile parasite had not yet had time to lay his eggs in her. For that, he had to eat, absorb gargantuan quantities of food.

- Dirty... bitch... ! How could you... free yourself... from my mucus... ? Just... you... wait !

With that, a stream of slobber escaping from its writhing lips, the worm threw himself on the two girls. In a deafening crash, he crushed the earthy ground with its enormous mass, raising a cloud of dust.

- Eat... girls ! he mumbled, still drooling, looking for their bodies in the debris.

Yet the two young women were already flying high above his head. Haru was bouncing in the air with his Moon Walk, little Lola in her arms.

- Hold on tight, Lola ! That vile fool doesn't know anything about the Six Powers. If his mucus couldn't withstand my Tempest Kick, his body won't either.

She whirled around, hitting the hot air with her muscular legs, and sent a shockwave that shook the atmosphere. With a thunderous crack, the wave struck the huge, slimy body, and the worm writhed in pain and crashed to the ground. He groaned for a while, wriggling miserably, and then straightened up with difficulty. Despite this pitiful sight, the slimy membrane that covered him remained intact.

- This filthy monster is solid. Without Daisy, it might be complicated... Haru ruminated, suspended in the air.

- Daisy ? repeated Lola, looking haggard.

- My Kuja snake. In combat, she is my best weapon...

Although she couldn't see it with her eyes, the young woman's observation haki allowed her to sense the aura of her reptilian partner, nearby.

- There ! the little doctor shouted.

In the gargantuan pile of food of the worm, where cheeses, fruits and meats in all kinds were assembled, the reptile was laying, groggy.

- That bastard must have wanted to eat her up, Haru grumbled. Kuja snake is a rare and exotic food, very appreciated by gourmets.

Then, pushing on her legs as vice-admiral Myr had taught her, she shot through the air with her Moon Walk towards her crippled partner. But her opponent was determined not to let them do.

- Do not... touch... snake ! Snake is... yum ! he bellowed like a stupid beast, taking his huge head in his hands in sign of annoyance.

Then, with a furious gesture, he hit the ground with his fat tail and sent a volley of debris into the air. Using Paper Art and haki, Haru managed to dodge them all, as swift and graceful as a stream of clear water. But Lola, clinging as best she could to the soldier, could not bear the speed : while Haru whirled with ease to avoid the debris, Lola's left hand slipped, then her right, throwing the child into a terrible fall.

- Lola ! shouted Haru, throwing herself after the young girl with her Moon Walk.

But the worm, animated by a sudden vivacity, caught the child in flight and clutched her in his big hands.
