isabella's pov
"hello?" i asked, answering my ringing phone.
"hey, isabella?"
"yeah, hi melissa!" i said, kind of surprised as to why she would call me out of the blue.
"hi, so i kinda need you to come down to the salon really quick. we just got a new shipment of color brilliance dyes that i want you to be the first to try out. can you come in, like, ten minutes?" she asked.
i ran a hand through my hair and thought about it. i didn't really want to change my hair color for the second time this month, but if it meant that i could see nate, and also try out a new brand, then i'm all for it.
"yeah sure, i guess. see you!"
i hung up the phone after we said our goodbyes and i walked outside to go to the car.
-
the sound of the ringing chimes on the door made nate look up from the logbook at the reception desk. his eyes scanned the room for a split second and landed on me. his smile looked relieved, but kind of forced as well.
"hey," i said, awkwardly.
he nodded at me and went back to work, but soon realized that i was actually there for a reason.
"oh sorry, did you have an appointment or...?"
i mentally shook my thoughts out of my head and nodded.
"yeah, i have an appointment for-"
"isabella? yeah, i kinda figured. you come here a lot and i always hear melissa talk about you." he smiled, scratching the back of his neck.
"so are you getting a haircut, or dying your hair?" he asked after a few minutes.
"the latter," i laughed, sitting down in the waiting room chair.
we sat in silence for about five minutes, until he finally spoke.
"why do you change your hair color so much?"
"it really depends on how i feel, in a way it expresses my personality."
i feel like i have so many unnecessary books that aren't fanfics like a rant book, period book, dumb fanfic moments book. idk i'm feeling like i should delete one but i still don't know which one
