Chapter 10

Marine's pov:

Right now it's dinner time and we have to look formal. I pull out a blue cocktail dress that is fitting and stopped mid-thigh. It is solid blue underneath and overlapped with lace and has long lace sleeves.

I put it the dress and a pair on blue stilettos on the bed and walked in the bathroom. I stripped off my clothes and bathed.

I dried off and let my hair flow down and put on my outfit.

I walked out of the room and entered the elevator and pressed the level 4 button and waited for the 'ding' . I waited two minutes later and walked out of the elevator and open the doors of the Grand Hall.

It was no longer empty it was filled with chatter and laughter. I looked around and spotted my parents. I walked over to them and was greeted by compliments.

Daddy told that Pyralis and Aura already came and left.

I nodded and told him I was going to the same thing.

He nodded and I walked away piling a bunch of food in plates and started eating.

I finished in records time and walked around.

Men kept on staring and I was met with some women glaring at me and clinging onto their partners or supposedly partners since the men shrugged them off.

Not liking this walk I went to the exit and just when I made it the door opened, it startled me and I sped walked to a balcony.

I let out a breath I didn't know I was holding. I walked to the edge and leaned on the landing.

I listened to the seagulls squawking and the waves crashing into the rocks. I love hearing this it's so blissful. I-

I was cut out of my thoughts when I felt a presence a few meters behind me. Without a moment to waste I jumped off the landing and ignored the person yelling stop and landed in the ocean.

My blue tail appeared and I swam all the way to my safe haven.

*15 minutes later*

I made it and swam to the rock but it's actually a cave, when I leave to go home I sink it underneath so at the surface it just seems as a rock.

I dove underneath, the cave was halfway to the bottom of the ocean. I entered and was greeted by many of my people.

I smiled and greeted them as well.

"Hello my queen" River a fosse grim greeted me. ( a fosse grim is a water spirit that uses his fiddle to attract women, children and sometimes men with it's song to lure them into the water drowning themselves.)

River is so nice he we always talked. I guess that makes us friends since we talk every time me and him return. I've known him since we were children.

" Hello River" I said as I swam closer and hugged him.

He pulled back and we talked. I told him what happened he said I did the right thing to jump off the building.

He told me about his day and nodded in understanding about his life style and laughed when he said he accidentally swam into a school of jellyfish.

I yawned and felt my eyes getting heavy.

" Sleep, we'll see each other soon" River said.

I nodded and said goodnight, he returned the saying and I swam to my room which was lower inside the cave behind the mother of krakens.

I entered my room and was welcomed by a happy yet tired Leith. He wigged towards me and wrapped himself around my neck licking my cheek.

I chuckled and snapped my fingers making all the water drained out and I turned back into human form completely dry.

My powers has it's perks.

I walk over to my huge circular bed that has fluffy pillows and soft blue covers underneath. I crawled over to the bed while Leith unwraped himself and curled up in a spiral ball. I layed down on a pillow.

"Goodnight Leith" I said.

He squeaked and closed his eyes.

I stirred trying to get comfortable, I let out a breath and fell asleep.

* 2 hours later*

*Roaring*

I shot up out of bed and ran over to the door and turned back into mermaid form.I swam to where the commotion was which was near the entrance. I saw a team of water serpents circling around something and hissing. Swimming towards them they cleared out and I saw something that surpised me.

A human boy.
