Saturday

Harry completely ignored him today, as well.

They sat in awkward silence most of the day, before Harry eventually grabbed earphones and ignored him with the aid of Black Shadows break-up songs blasting in his ears.

Louis, however, just- thought.

Because he had alot to think about.

"Mum! I'm home!"

"Hi, Boo."

He hugged his mother, inhaling her sweet scent.

His step-dad walked over to them, ruffling his feathery hair.

"Boo? Where are you?"

"Here- mum."

His mother hugged him, telling him how she had to go to work.

"Boo?"

"Wot?"

He was lying on his bed

"Mark... Mark says he thinks you shouldn't live here anymore"

"Wot about you? Wot do you think?"

"I think you should stay- but it's his house."

"Boo? Mark wants to talk to you."

"Tell that wanker to fuck off."

"Louis! Now."

"Fook- fine."

***

"So- you're simply too old to be live here. We want you out by the end of the month."

"Bye, Louis."

His mother had stopped calling him boo.

His mother- his own mother... Wouldn't stand up for her son- in an effort to please him

And Harry had just said it- like it was nothing.

Like the word didn't carry a weight.

He had just- shut down. Then, when Harry kept persistently asking...

He just snapped.

Leaving Harry to break, not bothering about the blood on his hands, the broken boy next to him, and the rift between the two. And especially not the Harry sized hole in his heart.

"Same lips red, same eyes blue

Same white shirt, couple more tattoos
But it's not you and it's not me
Tastes so sweet, looks so real
Sounds like something that I used to feel
But I can't touch what I seeWe're not who we used to be
We're not who we used to be
We're just two ghosts standing in the place of you and me
Trying to remember how it feels to have a heartbeatThe fridge light washes this room white
Moon dances over your good side
And this was all we used to need
Tongue-tied like we've never known
Telling those stories we already told
'Cause we don't say what we really meanWe're not who we used to be
We're not who we used to be
We're just two ghosts standing in the place of you and me
We're not who we used to be
We're not who we used to be
We're just two ghosts swimming in a glass half empty
Trying to remember how it feels to have a heartbeatWe're not who we used to be
We're not who we used to be
We're just two ghosts standing in the place of you and me
We're not who we used to be
We don't see what we used to see
We're just two ghosts swimming in a glass half empty
Trying to remember how it feels to have a heartbeatTrying to remember how it feels to have a heartbeat

I'm just trying to remember how it feels to have a heartbeat"

Harry's earphones suddenly disconnected, leaving the song to play loudly.

He didn't bother about the boy beside him, he just needed someone- anyone, especially him, to care. Instead- he let him go.

He now realised he had let Harry go.

He wasn't right for Harry.

He had too many problems.

Too much emotional baggage.

Harry wasn't his.

And he never would be.

Sunday

Sunday continued in a similar fashion.

But a few differences.

For example, if Louis wasn't so caught up in his own head- he would of noticed Harry's arms.

Or the fact that the boy wasn't eating.

But instead, Louis only noticed his own pain. His own suffering.

Letting Harry spiral alone. Letting Harry slowly fall into a bit of despair.

Why?

Because, the thing with Harry, is that he needs constant reassurance. Sometimes just a simple "I'm here" or contact.

Harry needed other people to help him from folding in on himself.

Spiralling mentally.

Instead, Louis only noticed how shit he was feeling.

And how he thought he didn't need Harry.

Harry was left to suffer on his own.

When the person he needed most was right beside him. But not really.

He was physically there, obviously, but he wasn't emotionally there.

Louis wasn't emotionally available.

He'd never been anyway, but Harry thought he was slowly breaking through the walls.

Appears not.

Louis wasn't there.

And he wouldn't be.
