The 90's saw an uptick in technology.

Cellphones were more popular.

Laptops were created.

Everything slowly became more digitized.

A lot different than things were back in the 50's.

Shorts became shorter.

Hair became longer.

And eyebrows became thinner.

Even more changes, and Steve and Lauren sill happily married.

Steve only worked at the library 4 days a week. He spent the rest of his time at home.

With their dog.

Sarge.

All while Lauren was still working.

She became the teacher that students had crushes on.

In fact, she had been for years.

Even when she was only allowed to teach female students.

Sometimes, students would sign up for her class not because they want to learn Russian, but because they wanted to see her.

They wanted to see the hottest teacher on campus.

Sometimes, Lauren would slip up.

She would hear the student's thoughts.

She would hear about how they thought she was beautiful.

She also heard the vulgar thoughts of what some wanted to do to her body.

She never meant to listen.

She never tried to.

It just happened.

And when she caught it, she stopped listening.

She hadn't used her powers in decades, and doesn't plan to anytime soon.

One day, she came home from work to see her husband playing with their dog in the back yard.

Sarge would run to get the ball, then drop it at Steve's feet.

Lauren smiled to herself.

She grabbed the polaroid from the kitchen counter, then snapped a picture of the encounter.

When Steve saw the flash, he looked over to his beautiful wife.

He walked over to her and planted a kiss on her lips.

He handed her the ball, then walked into the kitchen to get dinner ready.

Even after all those years, Steve never forgot to make her dinner.

Not even once.
