Ekrill looked at the boy, he was wearing clothes made out of gold and white fabric, typical clothes of the eastern Undaterra kingdom. "Get in, and bring you're horse"  Said Ekrill. As soon as the child and the mare got inside, he herd the sound of heavy hooves hitting the ground. Ekrill peeked at his window. "Nightmares!" He said, when seing the black unicorns with a blood red horn. "Hide!" He snapped at the kid, who imeadiatly ran and hid in a pile of hay.  Ekrill then opened the door, and the riders of the nightmares imeadiatly turned towards him, they where Acerbus knights by the looks of it. "Hey you," The one that apeared to be leader snarled at Ekrill, his face hiddin in the black armor. "Did you see a kid go around these parts?" The knight continued. "I've seen many kids around here, be more specific" Said Ekrill.  The knight grunted and pointed a black sword towards Ekrill. "Don't talk to me like that, a child with blonde hair with a sandy yellow horse" The knight said. "Oh yeah, he went that way" Said Ekrill, pointing to the trail that led further into the plains. The knight nodded and the black unicorns ran up the path. Ekrill waited until they disapeared before going back into the house.

Ekrill invited the child to sit at the table. The boy hesistated, but sat down on the chair. "So kid, what's you're name and why are thay chasing you?" Asked Ekrill calmly. The kid looked down. "My name is Ryker, but if i told you why they're after me, you wont believe me." Ekrill tilted his head slightly. "Tell me Ryker, i promise i won't tell anyone." 

Ryker noded, then began. "I was king of Undaterra, a peacock Icarians as most call them. But i was cursed, turned into a human child and took prisoner with my horse into Acerbus, but i escaped. I've been running for days and my horse needs water and food, she won't survive very long if she dosen't get any." 

Ekrill considered the reality of the story, Ryker did wear Undaterra clothes and shared the same name as the king, speaking of wich, the king went missing about a week ago. The horse Ryker rode did look like a royal horse and why else would knights hunt down a child. Ekrill noded "I believe you"   Ryker looked at him, suprised. "Realy?"  Ekrill noded, then looked at the window. "They'ill be back, the road reaches a dead end about two miles from here, we should leave if you dont want to get caught by them"  Ryker looked scared at Ekrill's words. "Do you have a ride? I don't really want to go alone." Asked Ryker.   Ekrill nodded and called Dusk, who swished his black horse tail. "A Hippogriff? How did you get one?" Asked Ryker, amazed. "Long story, get on your horse and take that trail" Ekrill pointed at a trail that led into the woods. "I'll catch up later"
