"Nia, wake up, we have to get ready for breakfast", I heard Susan while shaking me.

"I'm alive, you don't need to shake me like that.", I laughed, half-asleep.

Susan was already in her robes while trying to wake us up. She had a harder time with Megan and Hannah. I stood up and went into the restroom to get ready.

"We are allowed to sit on the other tables as far as I heard.", Susan told me while we were making our way to the great hall.

"Oh, that's great!", I said excited.

"I can introduce you to my friends.", I added and Susan smiled.

We stood at the entrance of the great hall, I was scanning the Gryffindor table until I saw Fred waving to us.

"Let's go.", I said smiling and took Susan's hand, dragging her behind me.

"Hey little Hufflepuff, how are you feeling?", Fred said and pointing to the seats in front of him.

"Morning to you too Fred.", I laughed.

"And to answer your question, I'm fine, still a bit overwhelmed.", I answered his question.

He nodded and smiled.

"Ah, that's Susan Bones, first year with me.", I said while making a gesture to Susan who sat beside me.

"Nice to meet you, I'm Fred and that's-"

"George Weasley.", he said, smiling.

"Nice to meet the both of you.", she said.

"Wait until you meet the rest of the family.", I said giggling.

"Are you gossiping about me already Nia?", Ron said behind us.

"Good to see you too, Ronald.", I laughed. Behind him was Harry.

"Hi, Harry.", I said.

"Good Morning.", he said and both of them sat down.

"I saw we have Herbology together later.", Harry said leaning a bit forward to talk to me.

"Oh yes, look out for Ron, or we do not have Herbology anymore.", I said while eating.

"I'm not that bad, ok?", he said offended, while biting into his bread.

Our little group started to laugh.

"But first we have DADA with Ravenclaw.", Susan said to me now.

"Oh, yes. Do we already know some Ravenclaw in our year?", I asked her and the others.

While Ron and Harry were shaking with their heads, Susan was thinking.

"No, I only heard there is a Goldstein in our year in Ravenclaw.", she said.

"And the twin sister of Parvati Patil, a Gryffindor, is in Ravenclaw. I think her name was Padma.", Hermione now suddenly said.

"Hello Hermione, good to see you.", I said smiling.

Ron was rolling his eyes, I swear I'm going to punch him some day.

"We should go, before we are running late.", Susan said and pointed to the halls exit.

"You are right, we don't want to be late on our first day, right?", I said while laughing.

"See you at lunch?", I asked Fred and George.

"Precisely.", Fred said not looking up from his book.

"We have some free periods until lunch, so we are stuck with learning here.", George added, and I nodded, following Susan now to the DADA classroom.

"Where did you get them all to know so fast?", she smiled now.

"Oh, the Weasley's? I know them since I was little.", I said.

"Hermione and Harry, I got to know them in the train along with Draco Malfoy.", I continued.

"Susan, Nia, there you are!", we heard Megan calling us.

Megan and Hannah were out of breath when they had reached us.

"Good Morning.", we said, and they smiled.

"We have DADA now, right?", Hannah asked, and we nodded.

"Let's find the boys and go together.", Megan said.

"No need to find us.", Wayne said, coming around the corner with Justin and Ernie.

"Good Morning, already on the way to DADA with Ravenclaw?", Ernie asked.

"Yes, we don't want to be late.", Hannah said.

"And the castle is huge.", I said.

"A map would have been an excellent first present.", Justin now said, and we all laughed.

"I know the way, I wasn't hungry and already found the classroom on my way to Justin and Ernie.", Wayne said, and we followed him.

The class started at 9am and was 90 minutes long. We had exactly 15 minutes to get from the DADA classroom to Herbology.

"How are we supposed to make this in time?", Mega asked hastily.

"Run.", Ernie said and started to walk faster while laughing.

We all started to run through the halls, laughing.

"I see, you all are getting along well?", Professor Sprout said while opening the door.

"Running from DADA to Herbology has its perk, Professor Sprout.", I said while walking into the greenhouse.

"I thought you don't want to be late on your first day?", Ron now said hastily.

"I'm not late. I want to see you run from DADA to Herbology first before you open up your mouth.", I said in the same way as him.

Harry, Hermione, some Gryffindor, and the Hufflepuff's started laughing. He stuck out his tongue in my direction, but I ignored him and sat down beside Hermione and Susan.

"You sure the both of you aren't secretly siblings?", Hermione asked.

"One hundred percent sure, why?", I asked her, while putting out all my books.

"You act like it.", she laughed.

"I guess that happens when you are the same age and grow up together.", I said.

After Herbology, Hermione, Susan and me were standing in front of the greenhouse. The others already left.

"You have a free period too, right?", Hermione asked, and we nodded.

"Would you mind joining me in the great hall for learning?", she asked smiling.

"We would love to.", Susan said

"As far as I remember Fred and George are also learning, I wanted to see them.", I said while heading with Hermione and Susan to the great hall.

"Then it would be the best if we sat down at the Gryffindor table.", Hermione said smiling.

"Are you getting along with the first year Gryffindor's, Hermione?", I asked her while we were walking to the great hall.

"More or less, we had like one night and one of the girls could not shut up about Ronald.", she said.

"Does she have a crush on him, just now... and him?", I said more surprised than I wanted it to be.

"I guess so. Kellah and Parvati are really nice tho, and I haven't had much time to talk to the boys.", she said.

"Neville seems enjoyable, Dean and Seamus are sticking together just like Ron and Harry.", she explained.

We reached the great hall.

"You can always come over if you want to.", I said, and rested a hand on her shoulder.

"I appreciate it, thank you.", she said, and we made our way to the Gryffindor table.

There was no sign of Fred and George. Just as soon as I looked through the hall, my eyes met the sight of the ones from Draco Malfoy.
