Pure Love {Pure Vanilla Cookie x Reader}

Chapter 9 - The wrong choice.

I walked through the forest, I didn't want to come back to the kingdom, but I had to.. I quickly sneaked through the giant gate, running in my house's direction with Rose in my hands. I slipped on a sugar rock.

"Augh!" - I squeaked. My leg hurt pretty bad, I think the noice I've made has got a cookie's attention. And knowing my luck, it was of course, Pure Vanilla Cookie. The cookie I mostly didn't want to see now. I couldn't believe I had to hide from my own best friend.

"Hey, [cookie  name].. You need some help?.." - he mumbled.

"No, no thank you. Excuse me, but now I will go to my house." - I said back to him, as he was a complete stranger.

"Listen.. I know you're mad that I didn't tell you, but I had reasons! And you're overdramatic about that! You always wanted attention, did you?" - he said, literally boiling.

"Pure Vanilla, chill up, I can see your dough drip down your fancy clothes. You are the one mad now." - I laughed. I had enough of all the cookies.

He came up to me and softly pushed me, slightly not wanting to hurt me, but hard enough to show me how mad he is.

"What was that?" - I asked him, impudently.

"I always thought you had a big heart. Now, look at you. Really.. You've changed.. You were so soft, and now.. You push everyone that cares for you back! You are.." - he didn't finish. Rose jumped on him with her claws.

She is a smart cat.

"..."

"..."

"Get that cat off me."

"No. Leave us alone. I did not change, YOU did. When we were younger, we used to tell eachother all secrets.. And now you hid the biggest one! You hid your identity! You call yourself an ancient hero?!" - I shouted, grabbing Rose and placing her next to me.

She sat, growling and smacking her tail everywhere.

"You know.. I am the one who fought in the battle. You went to change because your leg hurt. I tried to save all the other cookies, you care just about yourself." - He told me.

I could feel my heart bump faster, as rage was growing up in me, I wanted to push him down, I wanted to fight with him.. But I couldn't..

"I wish White Lilly survived instead of you." - he mumbled, probably not wanting me to hear it.

I did hear it.

I heard it. I heard the sentence. He wanted me to die.

"Just leave." - I said as my voice broke down.

As he left, I went to my house. I packed all my things. No one wanted me here. Gingerbrave and his team stopped visiting me. And so did Herb. I wish they didn't take me here.

I looked at Rose, who tilted her head, confused.

"Oh, Rose.. we are moving again.. No one wants us here.." - I hugged her.

I cuddled my face to her fluffy belly as she purred. I know she is just a cat, but I needed her more than ever now. She was my only friend left.

"Let's go now.." - I said while putting her on my shoulder.

I grabbed my backpack, as all of my things fit there. I thought about making a letter about my leaving to the other cookies, but I didn't.

I sneaked out of the house, looking at it for the last time, then walking out of the kingdom, sighing.

As I walked quietly through the forest, with my loyal guardian on my shoulder, I still was terrfied.

Eventually I came across a big castle-like building. Curious as always, I walked to the door. I rang the doorbell. The cookie that opened was.. one of the villain cookies.

"Pomegranate Cookie." - I said.

"Oh, uh.. who are you? Ah, is it.. You? [insert name cookie]? " She answered.

"Yeah.."

Pomegranate Cookie was a good old acquaintance from elementary school.

"Well, you've changed a lot! I heard.. you have became an ancient hero. I shouldn't be letting heroes in. I think you should leave. What brings you here?" - she had so many questions.

So we sat on the sugar brick stairs. I explained everything. Even though I haven't seen her for quite a long time, I felt like I hanged out with her everyday.

"Wait here, I'll go ask other cookies if you can stay here." - she shouted, running into the massive house.

"So, uhm.. You can stay here, but there is a favor we need from you. You will need to join our team. Dark Choco Cookie is now on a mission so you will be able to replace him. I know, I know you're one of the heroes, but.."

"No. Not anymore. I don't want to spend any more time with Pure Vanilla. I want to stay here." - I said, confidently.

"Well then, please come in!" - she said, smiling.

All the cookies that have greeted me were pretty pessmistic. Except for one cookie. Poison Mushroom Cookie greeted me with a mushroom in his hand.

"D-do you want a mushroom..?" - he asked, hoarsely.

"Ah, um.. No, no thank you." - I pushed his hands back politely.

"So, this is going to be your room!" - Pomegranate smiled softly. She probably was happy about the fact an old friend would stay with her here.

"Thank you, Pomegranate!"

"No problem, I am gonna leave now, you should unpack yourself. Oh, what a nice cat!" - she noticed a small black-white molly sitting on my shoulders, watching her carefully.

"Thank you! Her name is Rose!"

Rose sniffed Pomegrante and pulled her face back onto my shoulder. She fringed her eyes in silence, purring.

"I think she accepted you!" - I giggled.

When Pomegranate left, I laid down on the massive bed.

Even though I met another good friend of mine.. I felt bad being evil.. I felt empty. I really missed Pure Vanilla. Even after our fight.

Was is a bad choice I decided to join Pomegranate Cookie..?

I closed my eyes, drowning in my thoughts. I could feel Rose sleeping next to me peacefully.

I was aware that I couldn't undo the things I've done.
