Chapter 11 - Trust issues.

As we walked to the kingdom I thought about all the things in the close past; I still didn't fully forgive Pure Vanilla - he wished that White Lilly was alive instead of me. I lied about being "best friends" again. I just didn't want to upset anyone more than I already did. As my wise mother once said, some things can be forgiven, but never forgotten.. I looked at Pure Vanilla Cookie, I couldn't imagine that someone looking so soft and polite could be so harsh and manipulative sometimes. The only reason why I went with him is because I was lonely.

I looked at the ground.

"Pure Vanilla, do you think the other cookies will be okay with me living in the kingdom again?"

"..." - he walked in silence.

"Of course."

"..Thanks."

The conversation didn't even stick together.

"I wonder if our friendship will ever be the same it was some years ago.." - I thought.

When we walked through the kingdom's gate, I took a deep breath and silently walked in.

Pure Vanilla left me again, of course. He came up to other cookies to talk. I still had a feeling something was wrong there.

Akwardly, with all the cookies looking at me, I said "Hello.." and quickly grabbing Rose, went to my house, closing all the windows so no one could see me.

I'd sigh, collapsing onto the floor. I didn't unpack though - I was pretty sure all the cookies wouldn't like me living here again.

When I was getting up, I heard someone knock on the door. I peeked out the window and saw Pure Vanilla. I sighed- I had enough cookies for one day; I opened the door.

"Yes?" - I asked Pure Vanilla.

"Why did you leave? The cookies want to talk with you, especially Herb!" - he smiled.

"I'm coming, geez." - I rolled my eyes.

I came out out the house, nervous. Some cookies whispered something to the others, some looked at me, and some just ignored my being. Only Herb ran up to me.

"You're alright!" - he jumped around clapping. "I'm so glad!"

"Yeah, I guess."

"Is.. something wrong?"

"Ah, no, no nothing is. I am just... uh.. - yawn - tired."

"Oh.. okay" - Herb mumbled.

"If anything's wrong you can tell us. We're your best friends." Pure Vanilla Cookie smiled.

"Sure, best friends." - i thought.

"No, nothing is wrong, I'll go to sleep.

"Okay! Hey, Pure Vanilla Cookie, do you want to take a walk with Sparkling and I?" - Herb said, excited. He never used such a cheerful tone while talking to me.

"Sure! Let's go!" - replied my old best friend, all of sudden so happy.

I slowly made my way to my house, hoping that they would invite me too, but they didn't. They didn't even say goodbye.. Was I doing something wrong?

I opened the door, sighing as I locked it again, looking out of the window. I really wasn't sleepy or tired. I just had enough of everyone. Maybe that's the reason why don't they want to spend time with me? I laid my head on my hands as I still looked through the window. Rose was sleeping next to me. Atleast she always loved to spent time with me. I felt like they ghosted me on a purpose. Maybe they were having secrets again? Or they still hid something I didn't know from me? I watched Herb, Pure Vanilla and Sparkling running through the kingdom together, having so much fun.. I wish I could join them. They looked as they knew eachother from the very second they were baked. I can't believe I am jealous of someone who hurt me.
