Amelia's POV
"Ding-Dong! Amelia gets your ass up." Rose's voice is the first thing I wake up to.
"Mmm," I grumble as I squint my eyes from the bright sunlight. I must have fallen asleep doing my homework last night.
"Ameliaaaa get uppp." She wines.
"I'm up Rose, I'm up." I glare at her, "What time is it?"
"Umm.. like 6:30," She says grinning down at my current position on the couch.
"Dammit.," I grumble giving her a cold stare.
On my way to my bedroom, I trip over the flipped corner of the rug and fall right on my face. Wonderful. I hear Rose gasp from beside me trailed by loud laughter. I get up and head to my room, not before flipping her off, mouthing a quick 'fuck you. She proceeds to laugh harder.
----------------------------
We meet Sean by the big oak tree again like always.
"Ooo. What happened to your face?" He asks trying to hold back laughter but quickly regrets it when I give him a harsh glare.
"She tripped over her rug and fell face first!" Rose explains while, as she would call it, 'laughing her ass off. Meanwhile, I shove my face in my hands out of embarrassment.
Soon their laughter comes to an immediate stop.
"Uh, Amelia isn't that Grey? Why is he walking over here?" Sean asks with his brows furrowed in confusion.
I look to my right to see Grey's tall, muscular figure walking our way. His black hair flops slightly with every step he takes. His dimple is visible, just to the left of the corner of his mouth. I can't help but wonder why he's walking over here.
Rose nudges me and I realize I was staring. I look over to her and see both her and Sean smirking at me while they wiggle their eyebrows. Feeling my cheeks heat up, I look away and cover my face with my hands.
A few moments later I hear Sean clear his throat and introduce himself, along with Rose.
"Hey man, I'm Sean. This is Rose and that's Amelia, which you already know." He says with a small smile.
"Yeah, cool whatever," Grey says, having no interest in the other two. "Amelia, where is the football field?"
I peek out of my hands and look up, giving him my full attention, just to see his piercing blue eyes intensely staring into my browner ones.
I could look into his eyes all day, there's just something about the- My thoughts are cut off by the clearing of Grey's throat.
"Hm? Sorry, what?" I ask him sheepishly. Rose and Sean are sitting beside me trying to hold in laughter, knowing very well I don't usually act like this.
"I was asking where the football field was, considering you left that part out of the tour yesterday." He says and I can tell he's getting annoyed by the tone in his voice.
"Oh, sorry." I apologize, standing up. He stands there, waiting impatiently for me to answer his question.
"The football field is this way." I begin to walk in the direction of the field, followed by Grey. Whispers are heard behind us and I already know Sean and Rose are going to bombard me with questions when I get back.
After a few minutes, I feel the need to break the award silence the envelopes as we walk.
"I didn't know you played football," I tell him, trying to make small talk.
"Mhm, since I was little." He replied, obviously not wanting to talk. I decide to leave it at that.
----------------------------
I can feel the smirks on their faces as I sit next to Sean and Rose with my tray.
"Go ahead." I sigh, knowing they have a million questions.
"Okay so-" They start at the same time before glaring at each other.
They soon begin to argue over who is gone ask the first question. I look around to find the only person that's been on my mind since yesterday. I see him sitting at a table with the football team, laughing loudly at something Luke said.
Luke is captain of the football team, he has all the girls swooning over him but never looks their way. It's quite strange that he pays them no thought when they look at him like he's the drop of water left in a drought.
Now that I think about it, he looks a lot like Grey. Luke has a similar build to Grey but if I had to guess, he's about one or two inches shorter than Grey. His hair is much lighter than Grey's at his shade of dirty blonde compared to Grey's dark black hair. His eyes are also more on the green side than Grey's eyes. Wait how do I know what his eyes look like?
My thoughts are cut short when I notice Luke stand up, along with the whole football team, and walk in my direction. A million thoughts rush through my head and they get closer and I mentally scold myself for staring at them.
"Excuse me." I hear a deeper husky voice call out and Sean and Rose's bickering stops as they look towards me.
"Yes?" I asked, trying to hide the fact that I'm about to shit myself. I'm surrounded by a bunch of tall muscular guys, some more frightening than others.
"I couldn't help but notice you staring at me." He smirked down at me.
"I, uh, I wasn't staring at you." I try to explain.
"Oh, so then who were you staring at then?"Thee question, while one of the other player's snickers saying something along the lines of 'It was probably me'.
"She was probably staring at Grey" I hear to my left. I snap my head over to where Rose is sitting, to see her with her hand over her mouth with wide eyes.
Luke raises his eyebrow and looks back at me as if asking if what she said was true. I look back at Rose and Sean to glare at both of them.
"No. I was not, I was looking at him." I try to convince Luke and the others as I point to a random dude that's on the team. Luke just looks at the guy and lets out a loud laugh. I can't stop my eyes as they travel to Grey. I notice a flash of hurt in his eyes for a quick second before they turn hard and leave.
After a lot of answering questions from Sean and Rose, and convincing the football team, the rest of the day flew by. Thank you, Jesus. For some reason I can't help but feel guilty for telling the football team I wasn't staring at Grey when I very clearly was. That small flash of hurt in his eyes made my stomach churn.
The whole way home all I could think about was Grey. I couldn't have hurt him by saying that, could I? He hates me. Right?
