Amelia's POV

Great. Another year at this damn school. I thought going to an actual school instead of being homeschooled would be so much better. Boy was I wrong! Today is the start of my senior year. I'm so glad this is my last year.

As I get up out of bed, I make my way to the bathroom. After a quick shower, I brush my teeth and go get some clothes to put on. It's pretty chilly outside today. I pick out cream and burgundy striped sweater, some basic jean shorts, a pair of sunglasses, and my favorite boots.

As I make my way downstairs, I head to the kitchen for some breakfast. While I eat my cereal, I watch tv for a bit. There isn't anything interesting on as I flick through the channels, so I pull out my laptop and go straight to Netflix to watch an episode of Shameless. Nearing the end of the episode I check the time, 7:15. After dreadfully getting off the couch I grab my keys and leave.

--------------------------------------------------

As I pull into my parking space, it's nearing 7:30. That means I have another 15 minutes before I have to go inside. I decide to scroll through my phone for about 5 minutes before my friend Rose begins to bang on my window.

"Jesus Rose, you scared the shit out of me!" I laugh.

"Good I was hoping I did," she says, "Sean said he'll be here in a few minutes. He wants us to meet him by the big oak tree."

"Alright, let me grab my bag," I tell her as I begin to grab my things.

By the time we get to the tree, Sean is already there waiting for us. As soon as he sees us, he walks towards us.

"Hey, guys! Can you believe we're seniors?" Sean exclaims.

"Honestly, I just can't wait to get out of here," Rose says as I nod my head in agreement.

After a few minutes of socializing, we all head to our lockers. It kinda sucks cause our lockers are nowhere near each other. I begin walking in the direction of my first class once I have all my books. My first class is calculus, which I'm not very good at. Walking into the room I see a few open seats in the back and one upfront. I'm definitely not sitting in the front. After taking my seat in the back of the class and getting my book out, I hear Mr.Smith call me to his desk.

"There is a new student in the office that needs a tour around the school. I would like you to give him the tour." He explains once I reach his desk.

"Okay! Which office is he in?" I ask. I'm honestly so glad I get out of this class, but I'm not really in the mood to meet anymany new people.

"He's in the main office by the front doors." He tells me as I'm leaving the room.

God ,I hate his voice. It wouldn't be that bad if it wasn't so strained. You know, I reallydo not like going to the office for anything. Even if it's to give some new kid a tour. Why can't they have the secretary or principal or someone does it. Don't get me wrong I'm glad I'm not in calculus right now, but I don't want to do this either.

As I walked into what I thought was a wall, I'm snapped out of my thoughts and looked up to see something that is not a wall...

"Sorry, I wasn't paying attention." Apologize to the guy I just ran into.

Holy shit. He's kinda hot. He has dark fluffy hair, piercing blue eyes, and he's tall. Not super tall, but taller than I am. I can tell by the way his shirt fits tightly that he's muscular.

"Mhm," He mumbles as he smirks down at me and walks away.

Great. He saw me checking him out. That's just spectacular.

"Uh, I was told to give a student a tour?" I explain to the secretary why I'm here.

"Oh yes! Hold on one moment." She tells me as she picks up the phone to call who I assume is the principal.

After what seems like the longest phone call ever, I open the office door and see the guy I ran into earlier.

"Miss Stone, I'm glad you could make it", Mr. Jones says as I walk in, " This is Grey Romano. He is the new student you will be giving a tour to this morning."

Grey just glares at me as we walk out the door to the hallway.

--------------------------------------------------

After the tour it's around lunchtime, so we make our way to the cafeteria.

"You can sit by me and my friends if you would like." I offer.

"No," Grey says sternly as he begins to walk away.

"You don't have to be so rude," I mumble under my breath, although I think he heard me cause he stops, turns to look at me, and then continues to walk in the other direction.

Once I have my tray, I look around and spot Rose and Sean sitting at the end of a table. I make my way to the table and sit down.

"Hey." They say in unison.

"Hi," I reply.

"So who's the hottie you walked in with?" Rose asks while Sean agrees.

"His name is Grey Romano. He's new, I had to give him a tour. He's also kind of a douche." I explain who Grey is.

"Well, he's for sure my type," Sean smirks as he turns to look at Grey.

Sean is bi, but Rose and I are the only ones that know. Well and his parents of course. His mom was super supportive when she found out, his dad not so much. Which makes sense now, considering his mom left his dad for a woman and recently came out as a lesbian. Now his dad lives in Louisiana with his new wife.

"Everyone is your type, Sean!" Rose laughs, "I can see why he's your type, he's mine too."

"Will you guys please stop gawking at him before you create unwanted attention?" I beg. Not long after they turn back towards me.

--------------------------------------------------

As the last bell rings, I head to my locker to put up my books. Once I'm near my locker I see someone putting stuff in the locker next to mine. This is odd cause nobody uses that locker.

Of course. Not only do I have a new locker neighbor, but it's none other than Mr. Grey Romano himself. And I thought my day couldn't be any worse.

I try my best to ignore his presence, although I can feel his intense stare burning into the side of my skull.

Well, this is awkward.

It seemed like I stood there for hours even though it was just mere seconds.

On the drive home I decided to stop by the local bakery to get a donut with vanilla icing and a hot Earl Grey tea.

Heh, Grey. He looked so goo- No! What am I thinking. I just haven't been able to get that stupid smirk out of my head.

I smile at the sudden warmth that envelops me as I walk into my house. It's great living on your own, really it is. Sometimes it just gets a little lonely.

I frown at the picture of my dog that hangs above the fireplace. I miss her. When I was first sent to live with my new foster parents, Lucy was my dog. She was always there for me no matter what the situation was. Lucy was a German Shepard, she had fine soft hair, that looked like freshly changing autumn leaves.

I pull out my laptop and click on Spotify to play my "I Put My Feminism On Hold For These" playlist while singing along and completing my homework.
