A Love Like You

-Chapter Three-

Grey's POV

Yesterday was...odd. Amelia infuriates me, yet when she said she wasn't staring at me, but at Sam, I got pissed. I couldn't tell you why I got so mad, I just did. Of all people she could've said, she chose Sam. He's the most ignorant person-

I looked up at the door as the bell rang, signaling someone was walking in. I internally groaned as she walked in. Eleanor was our maid before we moved. After mom had passed, she and my father had gotten closer. Not in a friendly way either. I knew they fucked from time to time, it was kinda hard to not know considering you could hear it from three countries away. What I didn't know, was that not even a month after my mom's death they would be telling my brother and me that they were getting married.

Luke took the news way better than I did. Finding out your mom has died and your father is getting remarried a month later at 16 is a lot. Me being me, I dealt with it the only way I know-how. I blocked everything out. I didn't eat or shower for almost two weeks, at that point, Luke had quite literally drug me into my shower, with my clothes on, and told me to and I quote "Get your shit together. This is not what mom would want."

Since that night, I've been living every day for my mother. My actions...not so much.

"Ah, Grey. How are you?" Her voice made me want to kill an infant.

"Eleanor."

"Rude. Anyway, your father wanted me to tell you that the Carsons have invited us to dinner, to welcome us into the neighborhood." She informed me.

"Cool." I have no interest in having this conversation right now, "I'm not going."

"Your father insisted."

"No."

"Come on Grey, at least do it for your mother." she taunted.

This bitch

"Sincerely, Eleanor, fuck you." I seethed as I left the small coffee shop.

Amelia's POV

Rose🥸

Rose🥸: Heyy! Where you at?

Hi! I'm currently walking to the coffee shop. Why what's up?

Rose🥸: I was gonna see if you wanted to watch a movie with Sean and me tonight.

Yeah. What time?

Rose🥸: As soon as you can get here!

Alright. I'm gonna grab a coffee first. You guys want anything?

Rose🥸: Sean said he wants a doughnut.

Alright. See you in a bit!

I put my phone back in my pocket as I neared the coffee shop. Right before I was going to open the door, Grey quickly walked out with an angry look.

"Gre-" Before I could ask him what was wrong, he slammed his fist into the brick wall.

"Fuck!" He muttered.

"Grey?" I called out.

"Amelia?" He looked at me as if I just told him his mom died, "What are you doing here?"

"I'm getting coffee...then going to Rose's. Are you okay? I can give you a band-aid." I said pointing to his now bleeding hand.

Good thing I'm not a vampire

"Oh, yeah I'm fine." I could see right through his lie.

"Here, take this." I pulled out a transformers band-aid from my bag. He chuckled.

"I'm not putting that on." He deadpanned.

"Yes you are, gimme your hand," I demanded.

After he reluctantly gave me his hand, I put the band-aid over his knuckles.

I looked up to see him smiling down at me. It's a wonderful sight. He has a very beautiful smile. His teeth are pearly white and perfectly straight.

"Uh, sorry I didn't mean to stare. You just have a really pretty smile and I just-" my rambling was cut off when his lips crashed into mine.

The kiss was slow and passionate. It was the kind of kiss you see in movies. You know the ones where they kiss in the middle of the street while it's raining? Except its almost 70 degrees and sunny.

Grey smiled as he pulled away.
