"Why don't we take this time to have a talk? My Possessor?"

The two sat across from one another, the stony thrones breaking the endless ocean beneath their feet. One's eyes slowly fluttered open whilst the other grinned with a hidden savagery. The figure of white took his time to fully awaken, taking in the surrounding plain before turning to the figure of black. Raven hair and slit, garnet eyes.

And the Stigmata of Ruination, emblazoned upon his hand.

"You're Fafnir, aren't you?"

Though it was worded as a question, it knew better.

"You catch on quick, My Possessor. I am Fafnir, the Judgement Class Honkai beast, Dragon of Ruination. As you humans have been calling me. And we're here to have a nice chat between us." The titled beast leaned back further in his seat, his right leg crossing over the left as he leaned his head against a fist.

Soleil waited a heart beat before continuing.

"So what's going to happen? We fight it out and decide who keeps the body type sorta deal?" The Kaslana leaned further in his seat, flexing his hand and ready to summon the Divine Key passed down to him. Fafnir was unperturbed and whistled, eyebrows momentarily raising up before settling down.

"You certainly don't waste any time don't ya? Heh, but no, I find the battle route to be very uappealing. As you are now, you would perish within the first 12 seconds, if we are to battle for the dominance of this body..."

He leaned forward, an amused smirk splayed.

"I'd rather it be a worthwhile challenge."

Within a flash of movement, Fafnir ceased the blade's path with a mere fingertip, uncaring of Judgement of Shamash's searing heat. Soleil took heed and only pressed further, seeking to skewer the Honkai beast given human form.

His eyes shifted and for the briefest of moments, a glint of nostalgia passed through the scarlet iris'. Fafnir took the Divine Key in two fingers.

Before snapping the blade, clean in two. Any strength the Knight had bolstered, faltered.

The shards dropped down onto the watery surface before sinking into the dark depths. Fafnir sat back down and kicked Soleil back into the opposing throne, groaning as he was launched into the stone.

"You're nowhere near ready. Seek the origin of your blood and gain the strength of Herrschers. Only then, will you be able to destroy me."

The world around them shook. The pair gazing around with differing views. One of curiousity and the other of certainty.

Fafnir turned back to Soleil.

"It seems as if there's an intruder upon the surface level of your subconscious. She will not be able to pierce the veil and find this place, however, the feathers of that madman are slowly being destroyed."

He leaned forward, tapping two fingers against the other's forehead. Within that moment, Soleil felt a change in him, like a fierce, boiling heat rising from his stomach.

Yet it didn't burn him. No. It invigorated  him.

His body had never felt lighter, stronger than ever before. A burning flame had lit inside his heart. Fafnir's eyes regarded the enlightened Knight with a downcast tone, quickly hidden when Soleil turned to the Dragon of Ruination. "Why are you helping me?"

He wasn't given a reply, suddenly consumed by a tornado of embers. Fafnir sighed, the crimson light within his eyes bleeding out and transitioning into a storm-grey scheme. Silence fell over the blank realm as the darkened clouds loomed by.
