"Has it really been six months?"
The two stood side by side, under the shade of an illuminating tree, its leaves fluttering down at a constant rate, decorating the already grassy plain with their shine.
In the months prior to their current conversation, he had been bleeding profusely in this wonderous world, taken in by a soft-spoken man with storm-grey hair. The once, bloodstained armour had been restored to its majestic state.
But Soleil would never be the same again.
Judgement of Shamash was lost, no recollection of where it could possibly be. Most likely lost to in the depths of the ocean.
It would feel too good to be true however. He knew he would see the Divine Key of Destruction sooner than later. However, it wouldn't matter too much in terms of weaponry.
He'd been training for six months straight, after all.
"You've been doing well, spending the first month for a full recovery before I prepared a gauntlet of trails."
Soleil's companion could only smile in the memories, of when the young Knight had began his training and couldn't last a full five seconds in a spar.
Now their battles lasted seven minutes. Each of their clashes would leave deepened craters within the Bubble Universe. Ones that the owner of said Bubble had to repair.
"Su, am I really ready to face the monsters again? Especially since I'm on the clock?"
The uncertainty of his voice was staggering. A proud, young man that had thrown himself headlong into grueling drills and challenges.
"Only time shall tell if you are truly prepared for your future conflicts and battles. Pray tell, what has your mind in such turmoil?" Su was a patient man, he allowed the Descendant Kaslana to gather his thoughts, Soleil relpying in a small voice.
"It's just...what if I screw up again?"
Su smiled, twirling a golden leaf between his fingers before letting it float away, dissipating to dust.
"It is always within the realm of possibility. You just need to have the courage to pave your path despite your setbacks. As you have before."
Soleil turned to Su fully, his hair elongating to his shoulder-blades in a low ponytail, the bang hanging over the nose had stretched down past his chin. Aquamarine iris' shimmered with a mystic light.
"Thank you, for everything, especially with my memories and this newfound strength that I have. And, for saving my life."
He bowed deeply, twin-tailed cape fluttering lazily in the breeze. "I have mentioned before, you are the key to winning this war against the Honkai. As I've observed from 50 millenia ago." Su opened his eyes, for the first time in their time period together.
Fuschia eyes like brilliant gems, accentuated by the lime pupil. "Soleil Kaslana, you will have many more hurdles standing within your path, this training shall pale in comparison to the true dangers. I wish you the best of luck, and the best of wishes."
The Seed of Sumeru suddenly lurched, the artificial sky above ripped open, letting Soleil peer through the crack and see the worlds beyond.
