Chapter 7:Reunited

Lukimaro and Lia were both riding in silence towards the training camp to meet with the other cadets until Lia clears her throat

Lia:So um I usually don't ask people that but would you mind sparing with me sometime?

Lukimaro:Human or titan?

Lia:Whichever, I need to know your battle style because if we have to fight together we need to be in sync to get the best results.

Lukimaro:No we don't, you watch your back I watch mine and that's all.

Lia:...

They both go silent focusing on the road ahead until Lukimaro steers his horse gaining distance over Lia who does the same trying to catch up to him

Lia:Wait!
You can't leave me behind!

Lukimaro says nothing hurrying ahead while multiple titans start catching up to them from behind

Seeing this Lia jumps off her horse giving it enough space to not get killed while transforming which she immediately does preparing to fight but from behind her comes Lukimaro still in his human form using the 3DMG propulsing himself swiftly through the titans cutting the nape of every titan in his way while rolling in the air like a beyblade not allowing Lia to get her hands on a single titan

Once finished Lukimaro lands in front of Lia sheating his blades

Lukimaro:You are weak.
You relay too much on your titan form, you have to learn to adapt or you'll be found out but I will not intervene when they try to dissect you.

Lia looks at Lukimaro for a few moments before exiting her titan form as the horse has already returned allowing her to get on

Lukimaro looks at her for a few moments before mounting his horse and starting again at a slower pace with Lia finally able to keep up

The pair travel in silence for a few more moments until Lukimaro finally clears his throat

Lukimaro:You were there that day.

Lia: Huh?

Lukimaro:The day I got the titan you were there.
Hufner like the previous holder of the Colossal Titan right?

Lia:Yes he was my father, I wasn't able to get the Colossal titan but I got something much stronger.
I've been trained by the very people who created this power.

Lukimaro:Tell me something.
Have you heard about the other artificial titans before us?

Lia:Just rumours.
I don't know how much credibility is on the word of other people especially the fact that things could've easily been made up.

Lukimaro:Well I'll tell you that there have been other artificials before us, perfect outside of the curse of Ymir and that's exactly the problem.
They were impossible to be transferred even through the spine also the fact that most of the subjects turned out wild in the end made everyone try to keep it a secret.

Lia: How do you know so much about this?

Lukimaro:I'm the top soldier of Marely, it's obvious I know everything.

Lia:Wait wasn't Zeke the war chief?

My leader capabilities are trash but only because I'm a solo player.
But don't worry anything any of the shifters can do I'm able to also do but better.

Once again Lukimaro stirs his horse gaining speed but this time Lia keeps up to him as they near the game at high speed stopping right in front of the main gate where they are greeted by two cadets waiting to get their horses as they get off
