A loud "Umph!" was heard as a weight crashed down to hit a solid floor. A girl scrambles out from underneath of a slighter older boy. She looked tattered and angry, even more now that her exploration was interrupted.

"What is wrong with you?! Where- what-?" Was the only thing she could stutter out as she was baffled still by the sudden appearance.

She watched the boy groan and turn over after the not-so-gracious fall. After gaining back full consciousness of his surroundings, he seemed highly confused and concerned.

He swiftly jumped up, wobbling a little in the process due to the blood rush to his brain, and looked towards the never-ending roof. A wave of fear washes over him and he paled in the face.

"Where am I? How did - there's no way I could've... Who are you?" The boy, still filled with fear and more cautious than ever, sputters out.

"Oh right, I guess I should've made sure you were... y'know alive.. or whatever. I'm Callista." The girls softens her tone at the red-headed boy who seemed just as lost in this moment as she was.

"Callista? That's a stupid name. I'm going to call you Cal." The boy bluntly states, staring at the roof. How could he have fallen from nowhere into more nowhere?

"Wha- WHAT?! Archons, where are your manners? You're older than me and yet you're an asshole!" The girl exclaims, suddenly losing her kindness from before.

The boy looks at her and grimaces and turns the opposite direction. A soft "click" was heard, only loud enough for them to both stop in their movements and squint their eyes in confusion.

All anger or emotion from before is lost as the boy looks at the girl and his jaw hangs loose. He turns his head up slightly higher to look the monster in the eyes.

The girl notices his line of sight and turns her head slowly to meet the glare of a Stonehide Lawrachurl. In a rush of adrenaline the girl jumps backwards, stumbling slightly over her own feet.

The boy, wanting to run is frozen. He's looked smaller hilichurls face to face before, but nothing to this extent. Feeling a sudden force against his front side, he stumbled backwards and lands on his behind.

The girl quickly turns her head to him, she reaches out for his arm and pulls him up. Still holding onto his arm she begins to run towards the hallway she entered this very room from.

The boy regains his bearing and pulls his arm away, silently thanking the girl he insulted only a few moments before.

They are running towards the presumed exit as the monster behind them let's out an earth-shaking roar. Callista suddenly stops, her short white hair sliding forcefully in her view. Her face is filled with horror.

The boy, almost running into her, is agitated at her actions. A quick realization dawns upon him as he sees what she already noticed.

The door in front of them is sealed. And they can see the reflection of their impending doom stepping up behind them.
