Chapter 16

"How are you feeling?" I asked as we sat on my bed leaning against the headboard.

"Better" he smiled "thank you for taking care of me the last few days"

"Of course" I smiled "you did more for me"

He shook his head and smiled wider "you would have done it for me even if I didn't do it for you"

I nibbled my bottom lip and blushed as I smiled "yeah..probably"

"You're too sweet of a person Charlie" he pinched my cheek lightly making me chuckle and swat his hand away.

"So are you"

"Nope" he shook his head "I'm only this way for you. You're like this for everyone, I envy you for that"

"Why?" I furrowed my brows and looked at him confusingly, he shrugged his shoulders and sipped his coffee.

"You're a bit more carefree than I am. I can fake confidence and being openly friendly, but really I worry how I'm perceived by people. You aren't" he shook his head and smiled softly "you're just you. What you see is what you get and you're so unapologetically you. And it's beautiful"

I blushed as I felt warm all over, he gave me butterflies and made me feel like queen of the world with his words.

"Thanks Jinnie" I said softly as I sipped my coffee.

"Since we can't have our date this weekend, and I still have another week off from work, want to make our date for..say wednesday?"

"Sure" I smiled "I'll just let my manager know, and I'll take the day"

"Can you take Thursday too then?"

"Probably" I nodded "but why?"

"More time together" he smiled.

"I'd like that" I nodded and finished my coffee.

Jin POV

Babygirl: what should I wear for our date then since you won't tell me where we're going 🥺🙄

Me: dress casual, bring something nice to change into, and make sure you pack an outfit for tomorrow too. Also casual.

Babygirl: nice like..trying to impress people nice? Or nice like..ball gown?

Me: just go naked then.

Babygirl: 😳

Babygirl: that won't impress anyone 🤢 and it gives me nothing to go by

Me: it impresses me 😏🍆

Babygirl: oh lord 🥵

I laughed to myself as I stuck my phone in my pocket and double checked myself in the mirror, jeans and a nice shirt with a blue cardigan over top. My hair was brushed aside off my forehead and parted on the side, I even went so far as to put some lightly tinted chapstick on.

I felt like I was in highschool.

I have no idea why I wanted to impress Charlie so bad, I know she feels the same way about me as I do about her, and we've had sex a few times already, I think its because this was our first official date.

I also wanted to ask her to officially be my girlfriend.

She rushed to get a new PCP so we could be together and that to me spoke volumes. Clearly she was willing to explore whatever it is we have, and it made me feel giddy.
I don't recall ever feeling this way before.

This woman..I have no idea how she sunk her hooks in me but I wasn't fighting to get them out either. Just the opposite, I wanted her to dig deeper, I wanted to latch onto her and never let her go.
