We flew for about half an hour before I could spot the airport.

We, finally, landed on a helicopter pad 10 minutes later and I got out of the helicopter. Some men carried my bags as I entered the airport.

"We have to go to Gate B32 for your flight,"Mindy informed me as we got in an indoor airport car.

 I love these things.

I really hate when people don't get out of the way, though. Like, honestly, don't get mad if you get run over.

I sat in silence the rest of the way to our gate. I'm not really in the mood for talking. I'm tired. We got off the car and Mindy showed the lady identification for us to go through the gate.

I started walking when I realized Mindy wasn't following me.

I turned back around to see her just standing there.

"Uh, you coming Mindy?,"I asked, thinking I already knew the answer.

"No ma'am, I was told you were to go alone,"Mindy smiled sympathetically.

"What? Are you serious?,"I asked, exasperatedly.

Mindy nodded and gave me a small smile. She held out her arms, offering me a hug, which I gladly took. I hugged her and she patted my back.

Mindy was more to me than just my Daddy's personal assistant.

She was always especially nice to me and got everything right.

After we broke apart, I felt a tear go down my cheek.

"Don't cry, Kaitlyn. You'll be back in no time, I promise,"Mindy said tears also pooling in her own eyes.

"Yea, you're right,"I said, wiping away the little traitor.

"Bye, I love you,"said Mindy.

"I love you, too, Mindy,"I said, walking away and going through the gate.

I made sure my eyes were dry before entering the plane.

"Hello, Miss Bushmore. How've you been?,"Pilot Gray, our personal pilot, asked.

Of course, he pilots for other people, but we're his favorite clients.

"Eh, I'm doing alright, I guess,"I shrugged, taking a seat and buckling up.

"Good to hear,"said Pilot Gray, ruffling my hair before heading back to the front of the plane.

"Good evening, Miss Bushmore. How are your parents doing?,"asked Nancy, the flight attendant.

"They're doing fine, I'll let them know you asked,"I said, politely smiling at her.

I didn't really know her, she's new. Our old one retired. Her name was Rosetta, she was nice, but getting old. She still sent cookies and flowers, though, on certain days.

Daddy took her in when he was in a restaurant. He had overheard her talking to someone who was trying to trick her into human trafficking and he saved her. She worked for us for 27 years, and now she's married with grandchildren.

I miss her.

She always snuck me an extra cookie on the plane.

Though, now, I'm grown and can have as many cookies as I flipping want.

Nancy, suddenly, waved a hand in my face and my eyes snapped up to her.

"Uh, are you ok?,"asked Nancy, concerned.

"What do you mean?,"I asked.

"You were just staring off into space and I called your name 4 times,"Nancy explained.
