It was too early. It felt like it was 3AM, but it was 6:15AM. 4 or 3 hours is not enough sleep to be up for school. Why is his alarm going off? It should be going off at 6:30AM. Isaac sat up slowly and glanced at his phone with one eye open. It wasn't his alarm clock he set on his phone. It was Evelyn calling. Isn't she shit faced with drowsiness? "What the hell?" Isaac groans and answers the phone with a tone that didn't sound very happy. "What is it, Eve?"
"Well, good morning to you too." She started off with a bit of hurt in her voice. "I'm calling so you can get ready for school."
"But my alarm was going to go off in 15 minutes when you called."
"I called your phone 3 times before you answered. So if your alarm went off, you wouldn't have head it." She said, and Isaac moved his phone to look at the notifications that gave the girl proof of her words. 'Well damn' "I was also worried about you as well, Isaac." He was annoyed to ask.
"Why were you worried?" Evelyn gave out of a puff of frustration because she knows the tone in Isaac's voice when he's irritated.
"Well, one, you were out walking very late after I left." Because Isaac wasn't scared of the dark like she was when he's alone. However, meeting that mysterious person in the woods did set some fear back into his slim body. "There was also this strange howling I heard. Sounded like it wolf." Isaac chuckled, just to play it off. But he was worried.
"You must have heard wrong." He said with a steady voice. "It might have been just a dog. You know those roam the streets at night."
"Maybe, I'll be over in 15 minutes! Be ready." Isaac looked at the clock and saw that 15 minutes went by while he was on the phone with Evelyn. He said alright and hung up the phone. He set it down on his nightstand and stood up. He went over to his bathroom to take a quick shower. A good 5-minute shower. After he was finished, he walked out into his room with only a towel around his waist. He wasn't paying attention when he exited the steamy room. So the voice that came from the boy at his window scared the shit out of him.
"You're more fit than I thought." Isaac jumped back a bit, making sure he had a good grip on the towel.
"Jesus Christ! The f- hu- hell?!" He whispered, yelled because he didn't want to scare his dad. He looks at the boy who threatened him a few hours ago and glared at him. "What are you doing here?" A smirk played on the lips of the mystery boy as he opened his mouth to answer.
"I'm just saying hi, but I didn't think I would see you naked." He shrugged, and Isaac didn't know if he wanted to kick him out the window or just die right there.
"Well, I didn't expect you to be in my room when I got out of the shower." Isaac groaned and sat in his bed for a minute. However, he stood up just as quick as he remembered he was still in a stupid towel. He ran to the bathroom with a change of clothes. Coming out with blue jeans and a t-shirt with the words "What's up?" On it. When he did walk out of the hot bathroom, he saw that the strange teen was now sitting on his bed. The two locked eyes when the stranger spoke.
"You have a girlfriend?" Isaac raised a brow, and the boy held up a picture of Isaac and Evelyn. Isaac laughed and shook his head no. He walked over to the boy and snatched the photo from him.
"She's not my girlfriend. She's just my best friend." He said, setting the frame back on the nightstand. "And she'll be over here in less than 5 minutes, so you have to get off my bed and leave."
"Awe, but I want to stay longer." A playful pout made its way on the scary teens' faces who don't look scary anymore. Isaac wanted to laugh, but he held it in. He pointed to the window.
"Now, get out the way you came." He grabbed the teens arm and dragged him when he wasn't moving an inch. "Hurry up."
"Okay, stop pushing me already." He sat on the window frame for a second. He paused and looked at Isaac. "Sebastian."
"What?" Isaac looked at him a bit confused about what he was saying. Sebastian?
"My name idiot. It's Sebastian." The said "sebastian" said before jumping out of the window and landing perfectly on his feet. Isaac was impressed but closed his window.
"Sebastian, huh. Cool name, I guess." When he knew Sebastian was gone, he opened his bedroom door when the front door closed. Isaac sighed as he heard Evelyn running up the stairs to see him. She had a big smile painted on her face that Isaac wanted to wash off; but he didn't feel like being a dick to her right now.
"You look happy." He said, not sounding happy about it. Evelyn rolled her eyes but went back to smiling because she had something BIG to tell Isaac. Well, it was big new to her. She wanted to share it with her best friend.
"Well, that's because I am silly." She did the thing most girls do when fan girling, so Isaac believes she saw a hot guy; or one of the groups she listens to has a new hit sing out. Nothing beats Dynamite or Butter. He hates asking questions that he would always have the answer to already.
"Why are you so happy?"
"On my way over here, I bumped into someone." So it was a hot guy. Isaac believes it was Sebastian that she crossed paths with. "He was so handsome." Isaac raised a brow at her.
"Oh really?" The two walked down the stairs and Evelyn nodded like an idiot on the way down. Isaac knows it had to be Sebastian since he just left. The two would have to have bumped into one another.
"He was totally hot. He told me he goes to the same school as we do." She said, and Isaac froze in place for a second. There's no way. "Oh, sorry, he's going to start going to our school today." She corrected herself, and Isaac glared at her.
"He's going to our school?" Evelyn nodded.
"Yep, I can't wait to see him again. I'm going to befriend him." She said, and Isaac rolled his eyes that, because he knew what she was really trying to do. After he rejected her a bunch a times she's going to go after Sebastian. Befriend him, flirt with him, and ask him out. Isaac knows how Evelyn works.
"Sure you are." However, what Isaac was thinking as the two left the house to go to the bus stop was why Sebastian didn't tell him he was going to the same school. Did he kick him out too soon, and he could tell him, or did he want it to be a surprise or a shock to remember he was watching so he wouldn't say anything to anybody. "Strange."
As the two were standing at the bus stop at the end of their road, Isaac felt like someone was watching him. So, in a quick movement, he looked behind him, and for a spilt second, he saw scarlett hair. He rubbed his eyes and blinked his eyes to focus his vision a bit better. "Are my eyes playing tricks on me?" After not seeing anything that color as the bush pulled up, he shrugged it off and got onto the bus with Evelyn. The two sat in the back on the same seat. Isaac sat at the window, so no turns word squish Evelyn in the seat. From then on, they were off to school.
Letting his eyes close to take a short nap, Isaac ignored the figures running in the woods. "It's nothing. Just the wind." He fell asleep not hearing anything anymore.
Sleep is what he'll be doing most of for today. Nice sleep. He'll be in trouble later for it, but he doesn't care. Sleep is just,
So nice.
