Niall~

I woke up and the bed was empty. I huffed and rolled out of bed. I was wearing a pair of Ed's basketball shorts and a tank top. My hair was matted down and my cheeks were red from laying on my face.

I sighed and walked out of my room and then walked down the stairs. It was empty in the kitchen so I walked into the living room. The tv was playing Sponge Bob and Theo was watching that. Greg was sitting on the floor next to Theo, he was on his phone. Denise, my mom, and Ed weren't here.

I sighed and plopped on the couch.

"Where's everyone else?" I asked running a hand through my matted hair.

"Store." Greg said looking up from his phone. "Took you long enough to get up. It's 2:00 in the Afternoon."

I shrugged. "If I was needed I would've been woken up, but I wasn't. So don't wine. You could've woken me up."

Greg shrugged and went back to his phone. I laid down on the couch and tried to tune out the annoying show.

An hour or so after I had woken up, Ed walked through the door his hands full of groceries. My mom and Denise followed in after him carrying bags too.

"I'm surprised your up." Denise said walking to the kitchen. "I slept all day when I was pregnant."

I smiled and walked into the kitchen. I started to help putting away the groceries.

"I don't like to sleep alone." I said putting beans in the cabinet.

I grabbed the empty bag and put it above the fridge where my mom has told me to put them since I was old enough to reach up there.

I grabbed milk and eggs and put them in the fridge.

When I turned around all the bags were gone and everything was put away.

"Ma." I said following her into the living room.

"Yes Niall?"

"Can you help me dye my hair?" I asked.

She nodded and followed me up the steps to the bathroom. I took out the hair dye and grabbed a towel. I ran down the steps and grabbed a chair. I walked back into the bathroom and set the chair on the floor, I sat and opened the box.

"Thanks for helping me." I said throwing away the box and directions. I mixed and shook all the ingredients together and then handed her the bottle. She squeezed some on my head and started rubbing.

"You exited for Christmas?" I asked.

My mom smiled. "You know I always am." She rubbed her nose. "This smells like shit."

I laughed.

"I'm happy I have another grandchild to shop for." She said adding dye to the sides of my head. "Ed mentioned that you said he could invite his family."

I nodded. "Yeah. What about it?"

She shrugged. "Do you really think they will wanna come with all the stuff that's been going on?" She asked. "I mean don't they hate you or something."

"No. His family likes me, and is happy for us. It's his dad that doesn't support it." I huffed. "It actually kind of sucks. I can tell how much it bothers Ed that his dad won't even talk to him."

My mom put my hair in a mow hawk like she always had after dying my hair, when I was younger.

"I don't understand how someone could be so.. Ignorant. I mean it's fine if you don't 100% support it, it's your opinion. But at least support your own son. Who's done nothing, but been himself." My mom shook her head and smiled softly at me. "I hope what you and Ed have lasts forever."
