Meda spent the next week enjoying the peaceful days that came along with visiting her friends. Thena and Gilgamesh more than anyone had been a constant comforting presence for Meda throughout their mission on Earth. Not for the first time, she wondered whether she should listen to Gil and stay in Australia permanently. She knew that she would be welcomed with open arms if she did decide to move in and she had to admit that of all the places she had lived, Gil and Thena's was the place that felt the most like a home.

Despite this, Meda never stayed for more than a few weeks. Anything more than that and she began to feel the sense of loneliness that came along with seeing her friends be so in sync with one another. Thena and Gilgamesh had formed an unbreakable bond over the course of the years, so much so that the rest of the team would often debate on if they were together but their relationship was just one of unconditional support and belief in the other. Meda was thankful that her friends had each other to lean on during their period of limbo on Earth but spending extended time with them made Meda long for the person she once thought she would be spending her life with.

It was ages ago but Meda could still recall the intense blue of his eyes and the way he used to look at her when he thought she wasn't paying attention. Meda shook her head to clear her mind of the memories. Those days were behind her, the only thing to do now was to wait for the day that Arishem would call them back to Olympia.

After another feast courtesy of Gilgamesh, Meda was re-enacting Kingo's latest movie. Thena and Gilgamesh laughed uncontrollably when she began to describe the scene in which Kingo tried to mimic Ikaris flying through the air by hooking himself up to a series of cables and swinging across the film stage. As they drank more of Gil's homemade liquor, the group began reminiscing about some of myths they had inspired over their thousands of years on Earth. Gilgamesh lamented that the years that he decided to grow a beard were the same years that the celtic people took him as inspiration for Dagda. Thena brought up the embarrassing day that Meda had had been cornered by a particularly slimy deviant off the Greek coast and had to be saved by the golden boy himself, Ikaris.

Meda stood arm in arm with Gilgamesh laughing as they made their way back to the house from the firepit out back. Thena had turned in for the night after Gilgamesh had grabbed a third bottle from the shelf. Meda was holding tightly to Gilgamesh but still managed to stumble, brushing it off as a side effect of the liquor she didn't think anything of it at first. A few more steps and a shaking of the ground caused Meda to trip, pulling Gilgamesh down with her.

"Woah there, you used to be able to keep up with me shot for shot, what happened?" he said with a chuckle.

"That wasn't me Gil, something's wrong," Meda replied as the ground started to shake more vigorously.

Gilgamesh whipped his head around to meet Meda's eyes before pulling her from the ground and taking off with her towards the house. Thena met them at the door looking confused. Gilgamesh reached for her, pulling her close to his chest. The house shook around them causing part of the roof to cave in. Meda held up her hands to protect her friends from the rubble as it came down.

As quickly as it had started the earth settled around them. Meda looked to where Gilgamesh seemed to be fighting against Thena. He jerked his head at Meda in a silent request for her to back up from the pair. Meda did as requested, watching as Thena's eyes went white and a gold sword appeared in her hand. Meda stood ready to jump in if needed, but Gilgamesh had plenty of practise calming Thena down over the years. He met the golden sword with his own arm, talking to Thena in hushed tones, and ushering her towards the large tree out back where she often centered herself. Meda watched as the pair sat, heads close together, under the tree watching the sun as it rose. Again Meda was reminded of her past. Of a different sunrise, in what felt like a different lifetime.
