(This story spoils Liyue quests and Inazuma quests)
——-You silently curse at the parting clouds, allowing the sun to take over Jueyun Karst. Such a shame, you enjoyed the sounds of rain tapping on rocks.
You swayed on the patch of rock land you were sitting on, humming the tune of lover's oath. Your eyes focused on the peaks laid down in front of you. The tone in your eye signified power, with the blue hues of your outfit [..] As you remember the distant memory of mortals, many called you Ganyu's twin. Your sister was more popular among the mortal realm, leaving you with more time on your hands than you wished.
The only thing you could find similar was your charcoal and velvet horns. Oh, and your clothing.
Feeling feathers graze the top of your hair, you instantly jump. Cloud retainer was standing behind you, eyes focusing on the view. Her gaze diverts to your simple expression.
"Wayfarer, do you not find yourself filled with nothing but boredom? You have sat out here for hours, ignoring the weather and staring out into the lands." Your lips parted, coming up with something comforting to say to Cloud retainer. Despite her worrying, you found it endearing, but you do as she said, have nothing but time filled with boredom.
"Rex Lapis, though our god he has decided to become mortal, maybe he found something I could not." You pondered, lips forming a slant. "Adeptus-" Cloud retainer began, you shook your head, standing up and turning towards Cloud retainer.
"I'm going to consult with him, I wish you well Cloud retainer." Quickly you ran backwards and jumped off her peak. Descending all you could do is hear your clothing flap in the wind as you fell. "Adeptus Xiao seems I'm falling from the peak." You yelled, relaxing your body.
Suddenly the gravity weighing on your body stopped, with Xiao looking over you. His cold amber eyes had a way of gripping your heart. "Enough of this Qilin," he hissed, letting you go. You fell into a soft patch of grass, Xiao still towering over you with a frustrated expression.
"Aren't you bored?"
"Tch, boredom? Is that what's taking your solace?" The words slipped out of Xiao's mouth so easily, he instantly turned away. "I apologize, that was out of line, I wish not to disrespect your fallen friend."
You sat in the grass, looking up at Cloud retainer's peak then at the waterfall that graced down the mountain's side.
"I will get going," Xiao murmured, vanishing in Anemo. You paused, frustrated, looking down at the two visions tied to your hip. A cryo and a hydro, one belonging to your friend.
A couple of workouts later, you are ready to head into the city and seek the aid of finding something to fill your time with Rex Lapis. Or how some refer to him as Zhongli.
