You felt his body weight shift, his ungloved hands leaving ghost touches on your skin. "I suppose, I will think of your offer, that lantern rite is in a couple of days. Therefore," Xiao stated firmly, you hummed in acknowledgment.
"I missed your voice," You sniffled, feeling tears beginning to pour. Xiao was caught off guard, you could tell by the way his hands planted on your hips and how he moved not an inch.
Seconds pass before he lets a smile grace his lips, "Mm, I suppose I missed you too. Your voice alone... it's not quite enough."
.
."Woah since when was Mr. Brooding Adeptus a charmer?" You scoff, in which Xiao rolls his eyes. "Through the centuries I've known you, you never cease to ruin the moment." You chuckle at his remark.
"We should leave the teapot right?" You muttered, in which Xiao looked around and nodded his head multiple times.
"She knows what happens in this teapot therefore engaging in anything is not safe." Xiao muttered, hinting for you to get the heck out of here.
Though not much work needs to be done before the teapot rattles and you two pop out. The clear blue sky greets you with a warm welcome, also known as the sun which lightly burns your skin.
"Well, I suppose you didn't need the directions after all." Madame Ping laughed, looking at the two of you. You shrugged as Xiao rubbed the back of his neck, averting his gaze from the old Adeptus.
"We best be on our way," You said, clearing your throat. Xiao glanced to you, eyes softening amongst contact. "Yes, yes, you two should go." Madame Ping said, waving her hand dismissively before folding them behind her back.
Walking to observe the glaze lilies, Xiao nudges his head to the steps leading down. You nod your head, mouthing, "1, 2, 3!!!" You both teleport to the bottom of the stairs.
With Xiao dashing by your side, you both suppress a laugh. "She knows too much," Xiao muttered, in which you nodded your head.
"Madame Ping is like Zhongli except for gossip." You hummed, pulling Xiao over to the railing. You rest your arms on the railing, looking at the view of Liyue.
"The city has grown," You say with a sad smile. "Don't get me started on the latest events." Xiao chuckled at your words, leaning in close to you.
"Perhaps, I will accompany you to the lantern rite. As well as see Zhongli and that... thing he lets tag a long with him." The Yaksha shudders, shaking his head in disapproval.
"Geez, you really got it out for anyone who takes to Zhongli." You say, he really does resemble a brooding cat. "I prefer if he chose someone adequate for his status." Xiao expressed, you nod your head. Listening to his voice, a voice you could fall asleep to.
"Wayfarer, you're spacing off. Hmm." The noises fade in the background, a gloved hand touches near your chin. Pulling you in for a chaste kiss, your eyes widen to see Xiao pull away with cheeks painted red.
"You need to stop spacing off when I chat with you." Xiao huffs, turning away, you were flustered enough to forget where you were.
"Wow, check it out Mr. Zhongli, Xiao is kissing someone." You and your fellow Yaksha look up the stairs to see an orange haired man with Zhongli.
The ex-archon just smiled softly and waved his hand from atop the staircase.
"It's... him..." Xiao mutters, with a frown worn on his face. You would've soothed him if the man next to Zhongli didn't catch your attention with his words. "Hey there girlie, the names Childe."
It's the fatui harbinger the traveler was taking about.
