Malia decided to move cautiously through your house and towards the kitchen. There were boxes everywhere. Some spilling decorations, some labeled with people's names. She bumped into a stack of wrapping paper which bounced out of his neatly stacked pyramid with hollow noises across the hall.

"Malia?" You called from the kitchen. She headed through the maze of boxes and found you sitting in front of the open oven. You were holding a foam lump that, when she squinted, looked a little like a large turkey.

"What're you doing?" Malia asked you dubiously.

"Oh well I was making a list of where everyone will have to sleep and at whose houses... you know. Then Melissa said that she had to work Christmas morning so I would have to do the food here, Lydia phoned and said that she could help when she gets here. Which is fine. But my oven is smaller than Melissa's. So now I'm carving a turkey out of foam I found so that I know how big the turkey should be." You explained. Melissa nodded and learnt on the doorframe, finding there really wasn't any room to come into your kitchen with the growing pile of boxes.

"So the boxes?" Malia asked.

"Some are gifts, decorations that need to go to peoples houses... one is a box of Stiles' old junk he needs to take so that I have some room." You muttered as you squeezed an empty bottle of glue several times to try and get the last bit out before squishing a layer of foam on your fake turkey.

"Is one box really going to make much difference?" Malia asked casually. She jumped a little when you turned and glared at her.

"I still need to go to everyone's houses to put the decorations up and Scott will be back tomorrow." You muttered.

"You get more stressed out by Christmas than anyone I know." Malia muttered as she looked around. Under one pile of boxes she could see a pile of half finished tick lists. "Well why don't we put the decorations up today, that should clear enough boxes that you can find your notebooks of plans... As for the turkey, if Scott is staying at his moms house, why don't you cook it there and he can bring it over when it's done and we can cook everything else here?" Malia asked. You paused and looked at her again. There were bits of foam stuck to your face as you sighed.

"I guess that could work." You muttered.

"Plus if we move the gifts to the Sheriff's house then we'll have space to count out all the gifts and see who needs to get what for who and we'll be able to wrap them and store them in the spare room." Malia added.

"Parrish is staying in the spare room while the water in his apartment is being sorted." you said as you got up and dusted yourself off.

"Well... they have a dining room and Stiles' room. He won't be home for a couple of weeks." Malia offered a solution. You nodded and agreed. "Great! I'll load up your car."
