Chapter 24: First is First!
Simone’s POV
“Oh, that feels good.” I said as I wash my face with water. I don’t know what had happened to me, I can’t remember any single bit. All I know is I shot myself with a knife, and everything else is blurred. I went out of the bathroom and saw someone carrying a bunch of plastic bags. I came closer to her and poked her at the back.
“Um… Hi.” I said. She turned around and faced me, she have this blonde hair, she wears a bunny-like hat, and she’s wearing a blue T-shirt and a blue skirt.
“Uh… Hey?” She answered.
“Eh-heh… M-my name’s Simone. What’s yours?” I gave my hand to her, I was expecting that she will shake hands to me but she didn’t, instead…
“You’re Simone….?!” She uttered.
“Uh… yeah. Hey, I was just wondering, what are you doing here? I mean, is this a place for survivors? I’ve seen people, and I’m wondering if there’s more. Do you know where they are?” I asked. She was silent for a moment there, but then she spoke.
“Um, No. It’s not what you think.” She said.
“What?”
“This place isn’t for people who survived from the war, this is just… an old wrecked house.”
“Then… what are you doing with those plastic bags? Aren’t those food? For… many people?”
“Oh. Yeah, it is. It’s for us. Me, you, Marshall, and…”
“Wait, what did you say?”
“Uh… what did I say?”
“ Y-You said that Marshall is here, is he?!” I hold her shoulder, and gave her a… look. This look---> O___O
“Uh… yeah, sure.” She said. I quickly grabbed her hand.
“Take me to him!...please!” I pled, then she led the way to get me to Marshall.
Marshall Lee the Vampire King’s POV
“Ugh. My tooth is killing me!” I looked up into a mirror and saw that one of my tooth had rotten. That’s why I can’t sip the color reds properly. I mean, I should’ve noticed it immediately, but when you’re a vampire, you can barely feel any pain from your body. I put my fingers at my rotten tooth and started to pull it, but then…
“What are you doing?” A voice said. I turned around and saw myself. Well, I mean… at least kind of myself… it’s my small version.
“Oh my FLIP!” I shouted, I was surprised when I saw him right at my back. “What do you mean ‘what am I doing here!’ What are you doing here?!”
“Well… My teeth hurts… and… I wanna see if my teeth is okay.” He said while holding Homba.
“Oh.” I muttered. “Well, I guess we have the same issue, kid. My teeth hurts too. And… it sucks.”
“It’s so hard ta eat this way, I can barely taste the food because it hurts so much.”
“You better go to the dentist.”
“What’s a dentist?”
“A dentist is a doctor of teeth. He helps you feel better when your teeth hurts. He cures you.” I explained to him.
“What does he do ta cure teeths?”
“Well, at first, he’ll check your teeth using a mirror, to see which tooth have a cavity. And then, he cleans your mouth with… something. And then, he’ll finally take out his very large injection, and he’ll inject that giant needle at the teeth that needs to be extracted, and then… he’ll take out the rotten tooth, and then… blood will come out from your mouth! It will not stop bleeding FOREVER! Hahahaha!”
After I said that, he squealed like a mouse, holding Homba very tight.
“Nah, I was just kiddin’! Don’t be scared, kid!” I said while throwing a big smile. But it looks like he’s still scared and held Homba tighter. “Ugh. So much for a good first impression, Marshall.” I whispered to myself. “Well! Kid! What do you say if we go out and chase some wolves? Huh?” I encouraged him. But it still didn’t work. “Um… okay, forget about the wolves, okay? How about… we throw rocks at the little birds passing by, what do you say?”
“…That’s mean, mister. I don’t wanna kill little birds…”
“No, no, we’re not gonna kill them! W-we’re just gonna TORTURE them, that’s all!” He covered his face with his teddy bear.
“Oh, okay! Okay! Let’s do something else! How about… We toilet paper our neighbour’s trees, that’ll be fun! Yeah?”
“That’s bad, mister. Plus, we don’t have any toilet papers or neighbours.”
“Well what do you want me to do?! Dress in drag and do the Hulla?!” After I said that, he giggled a little bit, and started to laugh loudly.
“Hahahahaha!! You’re so funny, mister!! Hehehehe…hahahaha!!!” Heh. I really have a bad taste in jokes, don’t I? “What’s your name, mister?”
“I’m… my name’s Marshallee… Roy.” I said with a smile.
“Cool! My name’s Marshall Lee too! Only without Roy.”
“Is it? Well you can just call me Roy if you want.”
“Okay, Mister! I mean… Mister Roy! Hehehe…”
“Heh. Let’s get outta here.” We went outside the bed room and went downstairs.
