Once Max had reached the top of the stairs with me over his shoulder, he ran into my room and plopped me on the bed.
"Lots more where that came from! Now it's...3pm." he said looking at his watch. "So I guess we could all get ready for the movies at 6? I'm gonna grab some beers and chill out in the garden for a bit with Jay, and Nathan if he wants to come. Do you?"
"Max. Haven't you noticed something? Underage?" I said pointing at myself.
"It's not like there is police around. Plus, we don't have to give it to you, you could 'accidentally'" ,he said using his fingers to indicate quotations, "pick some up without us knowing, ey?" He winked at me.
"Well, I guess. Not like I've never drank before, just doing it with you boys makes it feel more...rebellious." I grinned at him, resulting in him grinning back.
"Great! I'll tell Nathan now, you just get ready, too warm for trackies now; look the sun's come out to play!" He led me to the window, admiring the view. It was astonishing. In the distance you could see the hills of England, then the lake was below us, the sun still shimmering on the surface. I was dazed out for ages until I came out with, "It's beautiful."
"I know..." I turned around to see that Max had disappeared and Nathan magically was stood behind me. He was in his shorts and trainers, still wearing the same tee he had on when we were in the car.
"God you scared me then, I thought Max was here."
"He came and found me to tell me the plans, you little rebel." He said followed by a wink and a smirk.
"Well to say I skipped school to hang with my idol, snogged a 19 year old and living with a boyband, drinking some beers won't make a difference." I said. He laughed and signalled me to follow him downstairs and into the garden. "I still need to get changed!"
"You already look beautiful." he said, smiling.
"Thanks, but I won't be for long until I sweat. It's boiling! Let me put some shorts on or something, I'll meet you all down there." He nodded and left.
I unzipped my suitcase and unpacked. Whilst I was putting my clothes in the drawers, I came across a small, tattered bracelet. It was a light blue colour and had the words 'FLAMINGO LAND' stamped on. I started to smile. I got this from the gift shop when me, my mum and my dad went Flamingo Land when I was 5. They divorced a month later, making that the last time we did anything as a real family. I put the bracelet on my wrist and continued to unpack.
As I put my last t-shirt away, I grabbed some shorts and sandals and went for the door knob. Remembering the weather, I took some sunglasses that I had luckily brought with me and my phone, and then headed for the garden.
As I stepped out into the back garden and took a whiff of the fresh air into my lungs. I watched two butterflies fly up into the sky, admiring the colours.
"Butterflies, butterflies, we were meant to fly, you and I, you and I, colours in the sky." Nathans angel voice filled my ears. I turned to the power of the voice to find Nathan, Max and Jay all sat around a glass table, drinking.
"Perfect timing that wasn't it?" Nathan said, taking a sip of his Fosters.
"Perfect." I sat down in the middle of Max and Jay, meaning I was facing Nathan.
"Here you go Em." Jay said handing me an ice cold bottle.
"Thanks, so is that my new nickname?" I said, opening the Fosters and taking a huge gulp. They all stared at me.
"Someone's thirsty." Jay said, giggling.
"Well you know. Not had one in ages, ever since...that night." They all moved forwards in their seats, expecting me to say more. However I just took another sip.
"What night?!" Nathan blurted out after the awkward period of silence. I knew he would be the one to lose his patience first.
"I can't say..." they all groaned.
"You can't start a story and not finish it! Come on Em, give us the dirt!" Jay said, nudging me causing me to spill some of my beer onto the grass. I glared at him and finally caved.
"Fine." They cheered and then focused again. "I was at my cousins house party, without my Mum's permission, or my Aunties and Uncles, since they were all out of town. It was only supposed to be a small gathering, but the word got out and heaps of my cousins friends, baring in mind my cousin is 18, all came knocking on the door. Of course, they didn't come empty handed. Gallons of alcohol were at that party - gallons! And with me being the youngest, I was the one who got out of hand."
"What did you do?" Max asked. You could tell he was really into it, because he had put his beer down on the table.
"Let's just say the alcohol went from gallons to millilitre's in about an hour, with no help from the rest of the party goers." I covered my face with my hands, my beer still in my right.
"Oh my god Emma! You're like a mini, female Jay!" Nathan said, laughing. Jay was still in shock, when suddenly he grabbed the beer out of my hand and put it on the table, causing all three of us to laugh.
"Don't worry I learned my lesson by the next day." They all grimaced. They knew what I was talking about, the hangovers are the worst.
"What did your Auntie and Uncle say when they found the house?" Max asked, his beer still placed on the table.
"I don't know, I was never invited there again." I laughed and the others boys joined in.
After hours of talking about stories where Jay had been either drunk, falling over or crying, plus the odd game off charades and lots of beer, Tom, Kelsey, Siva and Nareesha came through the house and into the back garden, both pairs cuddling each other and holding hands.
"So where have you four been?" Max said, standing up and trying to get as many empty bottles in his hands as possible to throw them into the recycling bin.
"Just down the lake, it's amazing." Kelsey said.
"At this time? It's nearly 6 'o' clock." Nathan said, he obviously wasn't the dare devil type. I smiled at him.
"That's why we have come back! I heard some movies were in the plan?" Nareesha said, getting excited. She was so beautiful, her black, wavy hair just drooped over her shoulders. She was wearing a short, white, frilly dress revealing her perfectly shaped legs, being held up by her phenomenal wedges she had probably designed herself. Kelsey wasn't much different, she was stunning! However Kelsey had long, straight, blond hair and was wearing some pale blue shorts and a bikini top and flip flops. Much more relaxed, but still very chic. Siva and Tom were so lucky, as were the girls. Made for each other.
"You're certainly right Nu nu! Let's go and get some PJ's on." Jay said, standing up and stretching. "Oh I've just remembered! We brought some popcorn and loads of chocolate, since there are no shops nearby. Plus there's this thing on the TV where you can choose any film, right Max?" Max was in the kitchen so we heard a muffled "Yeah!" coming from in there. We all nodded to each other and headed up the stairs.
