CHAPTER 8: Another God Rejected

As the team met up at Junes, Yu was explaining how Adachi was the mastermind behind the strings of murder cases. "I suggest we go in today and scope out what we are going up against" Yosuke brought the suggestion knowing Raiden was going to join them for this fight.

"Yes but we don't know what's gonna happen if we just waltz in there without a plan" Yu rebutted.

"I don't about all this, Raiden already took enough damage from his last fight Fuuka told us about" Rise told the team, worrying over Raiden's injuries like a younger sister.

Raiden was watching them all before smiling to himself, the investigation team reminds himself of his friends, Junpei being loud and excited over the little things, Akihiko wanting to train, Yukari and Misturu would sit together and gossip about anything interesting, Makoto and Aigis would talk about human emotions and other plans for the day. Then there's Fuuka sitting on his lap working on her laptop with a small smile on her face. Why she sat there a lot was unknown to him but he did enjoy it. Smiling to himself he assures them that he is more than capable to help them out despite his injuries. "Now Narukami, what is your final decision, do we go or not?" Looking at the teen for a confirmation.

Looking at his friends/teammates, Yu made the final decision, "Lets go team"

~time skip to Magatsu Inaba~

After exploring the distorted Inaba, Raiden really wanted to fight the shadows but was once again stopped by Rise and he was forced to stay in the background. Deciding to try something new, he closed his eyes and tried to hone in his senses of demonic power to find another power source, Looking for a few minutes he found a massive power source to which he pinpointed Adachi "found ya" he said in a whisper. Opening his eyes, Raiden looked towards the ground and looked at Rise, "hey Rise" grabbing her attention.

"Hmm what's up Rai-kun?"

not used to the nickname she gave him during the trip, he still told her the idea he had "well thanks for the nickname I guess, anyways I have an idea but it's a bit unorthodox"

"What plaaaAAA-" suddenly getting swept up by Raiden, Raiden used his devil bringer to create a large spiritual fist and punched the ground with full force revealing a lower level of the dungeon. reaching the lower level he saw a portal on the floor "Now we're getting somewhere" running to the distorted portal and jumping into it while carrying Rise, holding her with his arm while using his "V" wings to glide down into the ground so he doesn't take the damage on his legs that even had the possibility of dropping her, "Alright Rise, hold on tight cause we ridin hot"

"Waaaaaiiiit where are we going!" Rise yelled while trying to push down on her skirt trying not to reveal anything under.

"Closer to someone that needs a good ass kicking" Raiden replied with a devious smirk on his face. Landing on the ground he softly put Rise back on the ground and started to make his way towards any portals that was close to them while searching for the power source once again, Rise, fixing her skirt quickly caught up to Raiden and started Questioning him with a hint of annoyance "What the hell were you thinking for pulling that stunt" as she caught up to him.

"I was simply getting us closer to Adachi, but it seems he's still a little bit further away than I thought" Raiden told her simply, walking slower than his normal speed since looking for another source requires some concentrating.

"Yea well you could've warned me before just dropping that massive fall" she pouted.

"Well we made it here safely didn't we? anyways I need you to scan for any shadows, I've got to make sure I can pinpoint the source correctly" stopping his track and closing his eyes, Raiden drifted off in the depths of his mind to use his demonic energy to locate Adachi once again.
