Chapter 9: Aftermath

As he stuck around the hospital, Raiden watched as Fuuka slept using his coat as a blanket and his legs as a pillow, looking around he saw nurses walk past him left and right attending to different patience. While it was dark outside and a few tried to politely ask him to leave, Raiden refused to move from his position by Yu's room seeing as the boy has yet to wake up. One doctor walked up and tried to ask him "Sir please go home, you've been here for over two day's sitting"

"Unless you can prove he'll be fine I ain't going to leave my comrade"

"Sir I'm trying to nurse him best I can, but until he wakes up we won't know"

"Well then I ain't moving till I know 100% he is ok"

"F-fine then" as the doctor left Raiden looked down at Fuuka still sleeping soundly with a small smile tugging on his face, while humans posses the upmost courage to face their obstacle, they didn't have the physical capability that devils like him have which is one of their downfalls but as long as he is there then most demons won't be a bother to them. Digging out his phone he checks his notification and saw three missed calls from Mitsuru "oh shit.." pressing the call button he puts the phone up to his ear,

"you called"?

"yes three different time's Raiden, I would like you to investigate something for me since you are the only well enough person we have"

"I'm guessing Makoto and the other guys are still bedridden"?

"I'm afraid so"

"all right then, but if it's something dangerous then I'm going in alone, got it"?

"I understand"

"alright see you in a few"  clicking the end call button Raiden slowly lifts Fuuka's head and sets it down on the chair along with the makeshift pillow coat he made, walking to the front desk he spoke to the attendant about her sleeping by Narukami's room. Walking out the hospital, he transformed into his devil from and began to rise in the air using his wings, getting to a good altitude Raiden took off towards the dorm.

Flying for a good few minutes he finally made it to the dorms, landing on the ground while transforming back Raiden walked up to the doors and knocked on them, with the door opening revealing Mitsuru, Yukari and Aegis sitting on the couch with Koromaru sleeping soundly on Yukari's lap, walking in Raiden saw newspapers and other various items relating to dead bodies and a report for heavy fog.. yea he'll have to ask Philemon on all that later but for right now he shuffled to sit on the recliner going over the several piece of info

"all right what's the news on these little incidents"?

Sitting down by Yukari she quickly went to explaining everything beginning from the first victim to the most recent victim who was Nanako before Raiden and the others saved her, but as she was talking about Nanako he had to keep calm but was gripping his hands to keep from expressing his outlash. But as she kept talking about the strings, Raiden remembered that the TV world definitely had something to do with their deaths but he wouldn't let them in on it, "so you want me to investigate these murder cases and put an end to it"?

"yes since you have those...things to help you out, honestly it's amazing for how you stuck with us rather then try to kill us for the other world"

"well here's the thing, I see humanity as something more special and worth protecting than wanting to let the demonic realm conquer this world only looking for power or other places to feast upon, but the fact that I've been with y'all even during my cocky attitude era hehe"

"well will you be able to help us out with this"?

"Yea I can, but beware that what I might do be risky"
