Raiden was never one for celebration or holidays ever since the death of his parents and the hellish battle between him and his brother, he always found celebrating to be a waste of his time and energy as a demon hunter. That was until Fuuka came into his life, When they both started dating, Fuuka brought Raiden to all sorts of holidays and festivals to celebrate. She and along with their friends showed Raiden that even in the darkest time in life can be overshined with friends and family, how thankful he was for someone breaking down his dark demeaned wall.
The couple were finishing up setting up Christmas lights on the Christmas tree and outside the house, Raiden was finished setting them up outside using his devil bringer to put them on the roof, taking a moment and looking proudly at his work he then made his way off to find Kyrie. Fuuka was finishing up the tree with Kyrie and had put the a distinct looking angel she found in hers and Raiden room, after putting the angel on the tree Fuuka took a step back to admire the tree and looked at the angel once again "done, I think that just about wraps up the decorating part" she told Kyrie who was sitting right besides her on the couch.
"I'll say, we did a good job Fuuka, but where did the angel come from, I've never seen one like that before?" Kyrie questioned taking a good look at the angel on the tree.
"It was one of the gifts I was given by my mother before she passed away" Raiden answered walking in the house after shutting the door allowing himself to warm up "the last things I was given was my sword and the Angel ornament of her from mother and father, hell I was young when we made that, me, my brother and father hunted down some ragged up demons in order to make it and hoo boy was it fun" he smiled sadly to himself.
"Wait, You had a brother and why did you never mention him at all?" Fuuka and Kyrie asked with a surprise.
"Yep, his name was Tatsuya , we both go along well when we were young, but after mother and father passed we both distanced off, he left in search of power while I was walking the streets fighting demons. well one day he decided to pull a major stunt that involved opening the portal to the demon realm, I just so happen to make my way into it to find him and put a stop to it, I tried to talk him into coming back but to no avail, well that was after we took down a maniac who was trying to seek after our fathers power, but we entered the demon realm and he wanted the our fathers sword and the other half of the amulet that I possessed, denying him of it we both ended up brutally beating each other up in a fight, I came out as the victor getting the final strike on him, humiliated he the leaped off the ledge and was lost into the demonic realm, thankfully I got out before the portal closed. it's been 8 years since he disappeared into the realm, never once have I stopped wanting to look for him until now, but I know he'll want another fight and I'll just have to give it to him" after telling the girls his backstory he raised his devil bringer and head patted Fuuka with a small content smile on his face thanking the gods for getting him this far.
Kyrie, wanting to change topics as she got up from the couch "Moving on, Raiden mind if we talk in private for a minute"? getting up from the couch she Walking outside and closing the door Kyrie asked him an important question "so Mr. Beat-up, whatcha gonna get your girl for Christmas?" Already gotten his gifts for Fuuka and kyrie, he had to lie to her making sure he can cover up his tracks and avoid getting caught red handed he simply replied "You'll just have to find out tomorrow" giving her a sly smile
"I always hated it when you go into dodge the questions" she told her with a pout
"Aw but you find enjoyment anyways' he replied. Kyrie couldn't deny that she always found his schemes funny, it makes her wonder what goes on in his mind, hell if you asked her about him she would just give you the same answer "it's never a dull moment with him around" but she decided to let it go for now and went back inside to make hot chocolate.
