[Peter]
It's official! They officially called me their boyfriend! I feel like I could cry. I'm so happy. I knew they loved me too. They we're all I could think of as I drove us back to the apartment complex. I was all smiles the entire time, I couldn't help it, I was so happy! Y/n seemed to be in a good mood too, leaning their head against their hand that they had resting on the arm rest and they had a small smile on their face as they glanced out the window as I drove.
"You're a much better driver then Lucy." They finally said.
"Oh yeah? Why is that?" I ask, already knowing what they'll say. Lucy drives like a manic.
"Honestly, she hardly pays attention, she's always playing with the radio. And she glances back up at the road just to swerve back into the right lane only to go back to fiddling with the radio nobs." They threw up their hands in an annoyed manner. "They're gonna get someone killed some day."
I hadn't realized how much I had clenched my fist around the wheel while they ranted about their roommate. I guess it just pissed me off that they we're stuck in the car with them last night, what if something bad happened to them? I knew I should have done something sooner.
I have to do something about Lucy before she hurts my Y/n. She not good for them. Already pushing off her rent on them, now putting them in a dangerous situation. Not to mention that she just abandoned them at the party last night.
No, I have to do something. Lucy needs to go.
I'm doing it for Y/n.
"Yeah no kidding." I said. slowly unclenching my fists from around the wheel so Y/n wouldn't notice. "She doesn't sound very mature, does she even help with the apartment?"
"No! Well, yes and no. She hasn't paid for rent in the past 3 months but she keeps the apartment clean so I don't have to worry about it. Plus she always makes sure to have coffee ready for me before I head out. She's really considerate, even if ditching me yesterday wasn't."
"Considerate or not, she shouldn't push off her rent onto you." I gritted out, annoyed at them defending her, can't they see that Lucy is a bad friend? "If I were you're roommate I'd never force you to cover for me like that. That's just cruel." I pursed my lips, wanting to look over at Y/n and see their reaction to me calling out their friend on their behavior, but keeping my eyes on the road ahead instead.
They keep quite for a moment before responding. "Yeah but she's not that bad, I'm sure she's trying to find a job. She says she is. And I trust her, we'll kinda... I mean she should be able to find a job by now but she's still having trouble. I don't know..." They trailed off.
I sighed as we pulled into the apartment complex. Knowing were going to have to part ways soon and I don't want to say goodbye yet. I parked the van and gave Y/n another smile. "I'll walk you to the door if that's okay?
They smiled at me. "Sure, maybe Lucy will be here, you can meet her. She only likes being called Lulu though." And with that they opened the van and stepped out into the parking lot.
[Y/n]
We walked back up to my apartment, stopping outside the door so I could unlock. I stepped inside and nodded my head with quick smile towards him, letting him know Lucy was inside. "Hey Lulu!" I said giving her a quick wave and walking over to the couch where she was seated.
"Y/n! Hey... Um, you're not mad about last night are you? Sorry about that hun, I should have checked if you needed a ride home first. I know you didn't even want to go to that party." She said and stood up from the couch, her gaze shifting over to Peter. "Who's this?" She asks, hiking up an eyebrow before smirking at me. "Wait, don't tell me, you finally found a fuc-"
