Alex - Karev's Intern

Request from @kaymudd on Tumblr. The reader is the intern of Alex whose her attending. But the pair have a hard time keeping their relationship a secret. (Fluff request)

Seattle Graice chief had rules. One specifically for interns and attendings. Absolutely no dating EVER. People don't always follow rules and by people I mean me Y/n L/n and Alex Karev. The elevator doors open for me to see him enter beside me. "Why the long face Y/n. I thought you'd be happy to see me." He spoke with a smile eyeing me. Turning my head his direction I sigh in tiredness wanting to just be laying in my bed all day. "Sorry Alex. Just not feeling like being up right now. Rather be in my bed."

"Well during our lunch break I could keep you company...if you want." He stepped forward a smirk on his lips. I lean up pressing my lips to his and he kisses back. His hands pressing me against the wall as we heard the elevator release a dingy before the door opened to our floor. Luckily we'd separated by that point. Alex and I have been sneaking around for months and nearly gotten caught at work on more than one occasion. Yet I enjoyed the rush that came with having a secret relationship.

Lunch wasn't for another 30 minutes and I hate waiting. Even though I'm an intern for Alex that doesn't mean I can't be running rounds for other people. I've been running around all morning finally I go to an on-call room collapsing on a bed. Letting my eyes close for a few minutes I try and sleep until the door creaked open and the lock clicks. "Hey baby eggar for a break huh?" He sits on the edge of the bed hearing me groan tirdly. "Alex I'm beat...I need sleep." I wined like a child.

He comes to lay beside me facing my way. His arm draped over my side feeling me snuggling into his chest. "Get some sleep my little intern." He mumbles into my hair watching my eyes fall closed. Alex always became a softie around me. Like a teddy bear. But to everyone else he was a porcupine ready to pounce on the next patient or coworker he thought was annoying. My hands bawl up some material of his shirt as I let out a tiny snore really needing the second sleep.

Blinking my eyes open slowly I squint to see I'm still in the on-call room. "Morning babe, I didn't want to wake you. You looked too damn cute." Alex spoke propping himself up with his right elbow. Rubbing the sleep from my eyes I yawned longingly. "What time is it?" He looks at his phone replying. "1:30." I nearly jumped out of bed hearing that. We or really just me had slept through the whole lunch period and a half hour afterwards. How could I let that happen. Alex should've woke me up.

"Hey, Y/n it's okay. We both don't have surgeries till 2 anyway." He explains brushing hair from my neck his hot breath makes my cheeks turn red. "Alex, we don't have time for this..." I release a moan feeling his lips kissing my neck arms gently tugging me to lay back down beside him. "Oh come on baby. We can have some fun." His hands slide under my shirt and I grin at him hovering above me with a playful smirk on his lips. "Alex we don't have time. Even I really want too and you're hot right now we can't." I throw my head back against the pillow as he leans down capturing his lips to mine, my hands fly to his hair twisting some of it as he spoke between kisses. "You - seem - pretty - okay - to go - ahead."

Darn you Karev. Removing my lips from his I roll him onto his back so I'm ontop of him. His hands go to my waist seeing a smirk on my face. "Sex really quick. Then when we get home pizza and chocolate." He nods to my terms moving his hands to cup my face. "Quickies are what I'm good at." He pulls my lips to his once more and we only break apart to remove our clothes.

"I love ya, Alex Karev." I breathed out once we were done laying flat on our backs trying to catch our breathing. He kisses my freehand in his staring at me lovingly while I twirl pieces of my hair between my fingers. "I love you, Y/n L/n." We knew we'd get caught eventually but right now all we cared about was living in this moment for however long we could. Secret relationships with your attending has got to be the best.
