Mark - Sloan Secret

Request from @ts1mp0ne on Tumblr. The reader and Mark are married but leaves her job for awhile. She comes back to visit and everyone is suprised at their news.

"You're sure you can handle everything on your own. I can take time off too." Mark asked pulling a shirt over his head getting ready for work. Leaning in the doorway I shake my head wearing one of his shirts since my belly has been getting bigger. "Mark go to work. The hospital can't afford to lose both its plastic surgeons for 9 months." He walked over wrapping his arms around my waist pulling me close to his chest. "Yeah but I'd hate to leave you here all alone and needy." He leans down kissing me and I kissed him back quickly before pushing him out the door.

Mark and I had decided that we would hide the pregnancy from the hospital as long as possible. If the staff knew I wouldn't be able to do certain surgeries and I would be required to take more breaks than everyone else which would just drive me crazy. We had ended up getting married when Derek and Meredith got engaged. Resting my hands on my growing belly I talked to our child. "I can't wait for you to meet your daddy. He knows how to have fun..." I smiled remembering the night we met was at a dance in a bar. He asked me to dance and bought me a drink, I gave him my phone number when the night was over.

6 months later Mark and I intertwined our hands entering the hospital with my other hand closing my jacket to hide my belly from view as best as I could. "You sure about this baby?" He asked as I stand by the main nurses desk seeing Derek and Meredith with everyone else entering the room. "Yes I'm sure. Can we have everyone's attention please!" I called out having everyone glance our direction all gasping. "We're having a baby." Meredith rushed forward hugging me jumping up and down. "Congratulations." Derek walked up nudging his friend. "I wonder what a little Sloan will look like."
