Massachusetts Institute Of Technology the sign read printed in bold letters. I could vaguely remember how I got here . I did not literally ace the SAT , I pretty much got an average score , showed up for an interview and voilà I got in. I don't understand why would they take me , I mean only the countries best and brightest go there and I am none so far. Well everything happens for a reason I thought as I stepped out of the old Mercedes CLK 500 . " Thanks for the ride "I said as I shut the door. Amanda replied back with a sloppy grin and sped towards the exit.

I started to walk down the main hallway and entered my class, sat down and fished out my unfinished assignments and started to work on them. I didn't notice Mrs Gabrielle my cosmology professor walk in.
I heard whooshes and shushes , the whole class quietened down. I looked up to find Mrs Gabrielle standing on the Diaz , clinking her heel on the chair next to her. She walked up to the podium and began her lecture. " Cosmology - the study of our universe from mythological ,religious and esoteric literature." Can anyone tell me what is the basic principle of cosmology? Mrs Gabrielle questioned.

A brisk set of hands went up. " Yes Mr lancewood what is your answer" 'umm I think the basic principal has something to do with space 'He blurted out. 'I mean after all we are all astro physicists' . ' This is no time for jokes Mr lancewood ' her voiced echoed across the room. ' Your understanding of cosmology is wrong , there is a deeper meaning to it, it is not just the study of stars or planets or ... You know just space according to you.'
Ha well you know the students get better every year ' she said putting a hint of sarcasm. ' Ok anyone else' she said, she was so sure no one could answer the question.

Then suddenly her eyes did one of those weird indian dance moves , her eyes were racing left and right looking for students to pick on and unfortunately met mine, I knew she was going to ask I could literally read her sly smile when she looked at my perplexed face. 'Why don't you tell us the principle of cosmology ,zander' ?

Now here's what I heard 'principe de bas de la cosmology Zander'?. I stood up and in the most confident way said ' Mrs Gabrielle do you mind repeating the question'? The class bursted out laughing. The first part seemed like a complete different language to me all I understood was Zander ? And a questioned tone. I listened helplessly as Mrs Gabrielle repeated the question, I let my mind wander and think about the question. ' Any day now superstar ' she said letting out a sardonic grin.

I did one of those weird things when you forget the world or black out , you just keep staring at something but you keep on thinking, you know ummm zoned out. I completely zoned out , thinking only about the question. I let my mind wander, ' mm principle of cosmology , well cosmology was a subject brought into the limelight by Albert Einstein but Albert Einstein was a physical cosmologist and studied about the nature of space matter, so that leaves with another scientist Stephen Hawking who lay down the fundamentals for cosmology that is...... Blank! Poof I forgot , I got so close but I forgot.' Think! Think! I said to myself and then I hazily began to recollect a documentary about him and bang! It hit me, Stephen Hawking's law 'The whole universe can be described from one single unified equation'.
I repeated the answer and was greeted with applause. 'Very good Zander' Mrs Gabrielle complemented. Finally after a gruesome half hour lecture on the olbers paradox ,she handed out our assignments and stormed out of the classroom. ' Nice going man ! That was pretty neat you know' Ambrose said. Ambrose has been pretty much my only friend ever since I got here. I'm not really that social, if it wasn't for Ambrose I would still be a lost puppy.

'Don't mention it man, let's go grab something to eat I'm hungry'. A few minutes later we sitting in the cafeteria and munching on waffles and whipped cream. 'So you wanna head out to the pub tonight ' ? Ambrose asked gobbling another waffle down in one gulp. ' Dude we've got loads of work to do, I just checked my topic and I got astrological signs , it's going to take ages to decipher each one of them and prepare for the presentation at the same time . So you know just forget it' I said. You know your right , what was I thinking , just ditch it.

The whole day seem to carry on in the same boring way except for lunch when Ambrose tripped over his shoe toppling his tray over Martin. Now you can mess with anyone but not Martin, that guy has temper that can literally cook you up. I spent the next hour helping Ambrose get up as he was stumped up pretty bad thanks to Martin. 'Dude that's it I've had enough , I'm not going to be pushed around anymore, the next time the guy goes all Rocky Balboa over me he is dead ! You hear me DEAD! toasted , my fist is going up his disgusting face! . ' Ambrose chill that's exactly what you said last time and look how it's turned out. We both know you haven't got it in you and besides even I can't take him , he's huge.

Later that day

I got back home , relaxed for a bit and took a shower. I got back and frisked my bag for the assignment copy Mrs Gabrielle handed out.

I stopped at 3 the questions kept on going on and on. I thought if the questions were this long how long would the answers be. I took out my Mac and googled the first question. I surfed through the web trying to find a suitable answer . I don't know how long I was surfing but however possible way I phrased the question it kept leading me to zodiac signs . ' That's freaky ' I thought . Why do I always get crazy assignments ? 'Here goes nothing' I said as I plunged into my assignment , working my way . Little did I know my life was about to change , I would stumble upon something so incredible, so fascinating it would really just blow your mind.....
