Chapter 1

{ Autumn }

I was brutally awaken from my slumber by someone knocking on my bedroom door " Ugh. go .away" i mumble into my pillows pulling my comforter over my head. " It's time to get up lazy ass you have a presentation you have to give to give today" one of my best-friends entered my room snatching the cover from over my head revealing my messy bed head. I groaned sitting up and giving Jessie the deadliest glare i could possibly give.

She smiled at me and turned around to open my white curtains blinding me. " Geez wanna at least warn me before you open the damn curtains" i hissed covering my eyes. I heard her heels click with each step she took to my closet pulling out a black dress ( in media) and some black sparkly pumps. She turned to me " Well what are you waiting for go take a shower so we could go" i sighed and rolled out of bed- literally and walking to my bathroom. And no i don't have a bathroom that's connected to my room, i actually have a normal house with one separate bathroom. I stripped out of my white t-shirt and undergarments and took me a nice long shower washing my hair with a coconut scented shampoo and conditioner and washed my body with a pink chiffon scented body wash. After i rinsed myself i grabbed a towel and wrapped it around my body, grabbing my dirty clothes chucking them down the hamper. I wiped the smoke off of my mirror and started at my reflection. i sighed inspecting the dark circles around my eyes. " Note to self- never stay up 3 hours before going to work" i dried my hair with another towel and walked out to my room where in seen Jess still putting my outfit together. " You're still here?"

I threw the towel i was drying my hair with on my bed walking to my drawer and started getting dressed in my closet. " Well yeah your mom asked to make sure you wouldn't be late this morning" she said in a 'duh' tone. " Since you're always late" she added. I rolled my eyes. " Am not " I walked out and looked in the mirror. She got up and zipped up my dress " Yeah. You are " she patted my lower back to notify me that she's done. I did my makeup and slipped on my pumps. " Ready to go " i grabbed my files off my desk. " Yep let's go " she shook her keys walking after me to the downstairs. My dog Harley trotted over to me. " Hi baby girl " I knelt down to her level scratching behind her ears while she licked my face. " Yo Autumn lets go i still have to pick up Tori" i stood up dusting the little bits of dog hair off my dress. " Well i have to feed-" " I already did " i frowned my eyebrows " You're mom let me in before she left " She fixed her long dark brown hair. " Alright let's go. bye Harley" I pet and kissed her head. Heading out the door.

*Skips Car ride*

We finally arrived at our building. 'WTDC'. We walked in and seen Daniel. He is such a flirt but him and Jess doesn't get along so well. " Well hello to the beautiful Autumn Diaz" i smiled at him " Hi Daniel " Jess rolled her eyes. " Mm well look what the wind blew in" Jessie signed her name and gave him a glare. " Daniel." she said and a coldly tone with a blank face. " Jessica " they started at each other for a couple of minutes. I checked my watch and noticed i only have 12 minutes to get up there. " Would you look at the time well gotta go see you around Daniel" i grabbed Jess's arm speed walking " Ya see ya Autumn" he smiled and winked at me. I smiled and got into the elevator. I had only 3 minutes before im late and the elevator was going a little slow. '' c'mon c'mon c'mon c'mmmoonn'' i mumbled under my breath. Finally it arrived to 11B and i speed walked to my official that Krissy, Jessie, Tori and I shared and quickly sat in my seat pretending i was here a little earlier and touched up my work a little. " Autumn " i looked up to see my mother. I slid my glasses on top of my head " Yes ma'am?" she walked over to my desk. " Are you ready?" i looked down rereading over my work. " Erm...y-yeah" i hesitantly got up grabbing the files and walking with my mother to the conference room. " So these men are really busy especially Mr.Pendery and also you have an interview with him later on today, that's if he wants to" i nodded and made a mental note.
