Chapter 4

~Gilbert House ~

-Elena wakes up.  She sits up in a panic, looking around her.  Stefan is sitting on the bed-

"Stefan?"  -She asks-

"Hey. I'm here. You've been in and out for hours" -He says-

"What ... what happened?"  -Asks Elena-

"You had an accident" -Stefan says-

"My God. Matt, is he ..." - Elena stutters-

"He is fine" -Answers Stefan-

"Thank you. I thought that I ... How did you do ..." -Asks Elena-

"I couldn't ... when Jeremy brought you to the hospital before all of this happened, your injuries were worse than anyone thought. Meredith Fell made a decision. She used Damon's blood to heal you and when Rebecca pulled the truck out of Matt from the road, you had vampire blood in your system "-Explains Stefan-

-Damon comes in with the phone in his hand- "Did you tell him?"

"My God. Does that mean… that I… am dead? No. No, no, no! That… that wasn't supposed to happen!"  -She exclaims altered-

"Yes, I see that she is already informed" -Says Damon-

"Maybe not necessary. I spoke to Bonnie. She said that she is stronger than ever. There may be something she can do to help you."

"Do you pick up the phone ?!"  -Asks Damon-

"No, keep trying" -Stefan says-

-Damon comes out and calls again- "Come on Bon-bon, answer what are you doing?"

~ Old Lockwood Basement ~

-Bonnie is looking at Klaus's body, partially burned.  Enter Tyler / Klaus-

"It's beautiful, right?"  -Asks the smiling-

"What's that doing here, Klaus? The deal we made with Tyler was that you would leave his body and jump into someone else's the first chance you got" -Bonnie reproaches-

"Yes. When I assumed that it would be a lot of Ash. But apparently fate and oxygen intervened, and there I am. Give me back" -Demands him-

"I can't now" -She answers-

"Your history teacher reported Tyler and Caroline to the council. They are on the road to war and this body is vulnerable" -He says-

"I have to help Elena before she has to feed" -she answers-

"Elena is dead and she no longer concerns me" -He says-

"You forget who just saved your life" -She replies-

-Tyler / Klaus strangles her- "You forget I can rip your tongue out! Now give me back ... to me ..."

"If I can keep Elena human, you will still have an endless supply of blood to make your hybrids. Isn't that what you really want?"  -Asphyxiated Bonnie-

-Tyler / Klaus drops her.  She looks at him and leaves, but he intercepts her with her vampire speed- "The same rules apply. No one knows. None. Do you understand me, Bonnie?"

~ Salvatore House ~

-Elena goes down the stairs and meets Damon-

"Did you talk to Bonnie?"  -She asks-

"I have called her thirty times, while I wait for her to answer I have business to attend to" -Says Damon-

"What matters?"  -Asks Elena-
