Chapter 9

~ At the Gilbert house ~

"Jeremy!"  -Exclaims Elena-

-Jeremy is on the couch, still dead.  Elena and Damon are with him- "I can't believe this happened. What ... what am I going to say?"

"Thank you for not getting rid of the family ring after he drove Ric crazy? You should have called Stefan" -Says Damon-

"I don't want to talk to him. He has been lying to me and has been hiding things from me. He forced Jeremy to forget God knows what ..." -Says Elena-

"To be fair, I mean, I think killing him beats that. I mean, you should have called Stefan" -Says Damon-

"I don't trust him right now, Damon" -Says Elena-

-Stefan enters- "Hey"

"PS ... I called Stefan" -Says Damon-

"What happened? Why didn't you call me?"  -Asks Stefan-

"I just ... need to go upstairs and shower. Wipe all the blood from my hands" -She goes upstairs and Jeremy wakes up-

"Welcome back. How are you feeling?"  -Asks Stefan-

"What happened?"  -Asks Jeremy-

"Long story. Buy the e-book" -Says Damon-

~ Time later ~

"Where did Jeremy go?"  -Asks Damon-

"School. Bonnie has him volunteering for an occult exhibit."

"Sure ... Bonnie ..." - Damon murmurs-

"You have a hard time controlling your jealousy, right?"  -Asks Stefan-

"Don't start out like Bonnie and I don't want to talk about it" -Says Damon-

-Stefan's phone rings and he walks out the door-

~ Time later ~

-Elena enters the kitchen.  Damon is there, but when he gets up, he is Connor-

"Damon ..." -It whispers Elena-

"The decomposition begins in the first 24 hours. I am rotting in a grave without a name because of you" -Says Connor-

"No!"  -Elena runs and Damon looks at her- "What's wrong? Elena!"

-Elena comes out.  Klaus turns around.  He takes it and disappears.  Damon comes out and looks at Stefan-

~ Time later ~

~ Gilbert House ~

"Did you lose her ?!"  -Exclaim Bonnie-

"Well, 'lost' is a very strong word. Technically, we don't know where she is now" -Says Damon-

"I'm more concerned about what Klaus said about this hunter's curse" -Stefan says-

"How does Klaus know about this?"  -Asks Bonnie-

"How does Klaus know anything? Honey, the guy is like a billion years old" -Says Damon-

"He said it was a witch's curse" -Stefan says-

"You know that if he could do something to help, he would, but I ..." -Says Bonnie-

"But nothing, you are not going to risk that I give you a magic bud" -Says Damon-

"I could ask Shane for help. He knows everything about everything" -Says Bonnie-

"No, no way" -Damon denies-

"Really? Same thing again?"  -Asks Bonnie-

"That guy just wants to take advantage of you! What language am I telling you in ?!"  -Exclaims Damon-
