After School Detention Time

The whole day I tried to avoided Luke at all coasts. What sucks is we both have music at the end of the day. Then it hits me how is my brother supposed to do to get home? I will ask if Michael can watch him until I get home.

"Hey Michael I have detention again can you watch Justin for me until I get home?" I asked making a puppy face. "Yeah sure I love hanging out with the little guy!" Michael said. "Just a few rules. Don't dye his hair. Bed my 7:30. Also you need to walk him home from school. Don't tell him I got a detention tell him I have soccer practice. K?" I said walking to Mr.Rotter's classroom. Unfortunately I ran into Luke on the way. "Are you okay?" He asked me. "Looks like bad boy has a soft spot." Michael said. "You dyed your hair again? I like this colour better." I said messing up his hair and like I thought he would growled at me. Which I just laughed at. "Now go babysit my little brother." I said then I noticed that Luke zoned out. "Luke!" I said snapping my fingers in his face. "What bitch?" Snapped Luke. "Sorry you zoned out. Remind me never to get on your bad side." I said laughing. "Maddy are you free Tuesday night?" asked Luke. "Not unless you come over to my house. Other then that no." I said opening the door to Mr.Rotter's class.

Luke walked me to my house then I got a call from Michael

"Mickey?"

"Maddy something terrible happened to your brother."

"Can I put you on speaker?"

"I wouldn't."

"What happened is he okay?"

"Well umm, he wanted to go to the park. Well there was some drunk guys. One of them had a knife and umm, stabbed your brother in the side of the stomache. And the knife hit some important organis and well you know he died."

Michael was saying something else but I just stopped right in the middle of the sidewalk. I just broke into tears right in front of Luke's house. His mum came running to me and asked, "What's wrong? Are you okay?" All I could say was, "Someone killed my brother and I'm going to kill them." "Ohhh, Maddy you can come over for dinner tonight so you are not alone tonight." She offered. Before I could answer Luke came outside and asked, "Is shehurt mum?" "But all I could say was, "Justin is dead. Justin is dead. Justin is dead. Justin is dead. Justin is dead." "Mum go inside and I will take care of Maddy." Luke explained. Before I knew it Luke had is arms around me. And I hugged him back.

We stayed like that until Mickey came. "Maddy this is all my fault if..." Michael said but I cut him off, "Hey it's not your fault. It's not no one's fault. Well besides the asshole who killed my brother. At least he got to spend his last minutes with you. To him you where like a brother to him. All he ever asked was to go hang out with you." I said letting Michael join the hug.

"I'm going to clean out his room. Do you guys want to help?" I asked whipping the tears off my checks. "Yes." Both Luke and Michael said at the same time. We walked back to my house. And straight to my brothers old room. I got a few boxes and labelled CLOTHES, SHOES, and TOYS. We cleaned out every inch.
