[June 20, 1989]

The sun was setting on the highway as the teens drove past the deserted plains of the lost town. The quietness surrounded them as they made it deeper into the lost town. Just along the outskirts, it seemed as if the town was still active..well at least somewhat. Itsuki was driving of course because everyone wanted to sleep after the long night. He didn't get much sleep last night because he couldn't stop thinking about the mysteries of this town and how the citizens just disappeared out of nowhere, but maybe they might figure it out later because they've arrived.

Itsuki parked on the side of the road next to an old abandoned watchtower that still seemed intact and undamaged, unlike the other buildings around the area. He thought this was a good place to set up for now."Guys," Itsuki exclaimed, "we're here..." He looked out the front window almost as if he wanted to just leave already but they had just got here. Who knows what fun and adventure lay ahead! Dahlia yawned and stretched as she woke up from her nap on the RV couch with restless eyes and a calming voice, "Really? Man seems like that took forever" she muttered. "Yeah," Ali replied walking to the front of the truck. Itsuki wandered around, not sure what to do with himself as this was all new and the rumors he heard were enough for his stomach to turn. "Where are the others?" Itsuki asked Ali. "Oh, they're still asleep in the back, I'll wake them up. Dahlia you can start packing the bags and getting materials." Ali insisted while trying to tinker with a broken camera that wouldn't budge. Itsuki walked toward the door carrying his journal. He wanted to at least document half of the trip so he could show it off at school next year. His family thought he was a boy who didn't like to leave the house. So when the kids approached his parents, they agreed to this idea."I'll wait outside and observe," he insisted. "Well ok," Ali replied. Itsuki stepped out of the RV to feel the cool afternoon summer air as the sunset on the old watchtower. He then takes out his journal and writes: "Everything seems fine for now, but I keep feeling as if something is watching us. I might just be paranoid like a typical 1970s movie character but something's...off. This town is so empty. How do you clear a whole town with no trace of anything? It's suspicious.

Minutes passed and everyone was finally ready to explore this watchtower. Just to see how many treasures this massive beauty held. "Wow, that's one huge watchtower!"Dahlia shouts with excitement. Hunter walks up to Dahlia and takes a look at the tower himself. "It's not that big, but who cares," he claims walking past Dahlia with a sarcastic face. "Ugh, whatever," she grunted walking away. "Guys, I could use some help carrying the bags," Sakka stumbled while walking out with most everyone's bags of equipment. Quinn pushes him out of the way chewing gum. "Watch where you're going!" he hissed getting off the floor. "Ok, that's enough, let's just go search this tower and be done with it," Ali ordered while helping Sakka up and giving everyone a backpack. Sakka worried about Itsuki because being away from home wasn't his thing. But he believed Itsuki was strong enough to handle this because Itsuki had him and the others of course. He walked behind Itsuki with his bag and noticed Itsuki had been looking off into the forest for minutes now. "Hey, you ok?" he asked. Itsuki suddenly jumps "Huh, oh yea just...thinking about this place, that's all." Itsuki replied while staring at his journal. Sakka looks at Itsuki's journal and feels worried but he doesn't want to seem like he was being a burden on Itsuki's way of expressing himself. So, Sakka shrugs it off and puts his trust in Itsuki. "Well, ok if you insist, now come on let's go everyone's waiting." He grabbed Itsuki and rushed him to everyone else. Ali and the others were waiting at the foot of the watchtower, ready to get the exploration started. "Are you guys ready?" Ali asked. Everyone nods. "Ok, let's go."
