LIAM'S POV:

We both leapt out from the car, and it sprang up as our weight had departed, we grabbed our boots and soccer ball from the trunk.

"Oh man, I can't wait! It's right there infront of me and I still feel as if I'm dreaming," I say to Kyle, not knowing how loud I was talking. He could tell I was VERY excited.

KYLE'S POV:

I didn't expect to see my 19 year old brother to be that excited, by the time I hit 19 all my Energy was used from the 18 years I had already lived. I guess you could tell he was that passionate for the sport, give him some homework and he becomes lazy.. Give him a soccer ball and you'll see him burst full of energy and power.

"Looks like the local team is training right now, we might go down the other end shall we?" I rhetorically asked him.

"Oh nah," he says with a sarcastic look coming onto his face, "We might get to see how these guys practise too."

I start heading to the corner of the field, not once do my eyes leave that team, they were putting in so much effort, never jogging; never giving up; attacking the ball hard; and while training hard, having a ball of a time. I wish my team could play like that, we work hard and get the job done, but it always ends in an argument. Our team isn't very friendly you could say.
After we turn the corner, and start to walk past the back of the net, 3 players who look awefully like strikers the way they train, were taking massive shots from outside the 18 yard box, and not one missed!

"Do those shots look familiar to you Liam?" I ask, trying not to sound cocky.

"Haha don't start thinking you're that good," he expresses with a wink.
We start getting into some passing, and taking shots and you could tell we weren't training, if you saw us compared to that team.. We were way off.

"Come take some goal shooting Kyle," I hear over my shoulder while fetching the ball from one of Liam's shocking passes.

LIAM'S POV:

The skilled mystery team finish up their training, and I see a few players look over and see Kyle about to take a shot. I have to admit, I'm not the best goal keeper, but playing in the defensive line I do kind of know what I need to do to keep the ball out of the goal.
Kyle was doing his usual routine for a penalty kick: lining up the ball, getting his right distance away for the run up and focusing all on the placement of his foot and where he wants to guide the ball to. He starts jogging, and then builds up to a fast-paced run and kicks the ball with all his might, in less than a few seconds the ball has already flew straight past my hands and into the top right corner of the net.
"Great shot!" I yell so loud he can tell I'm pleased. And just as I walk out from collecting the ball, I hear the 3 strikers clapping, clapping for Kyle! They start walking over to speak with him. I run over to hear what they have to say.

"That was a great shot son," a gentleman says pleased with what he had seen. No way! That player was a man from the Australian Socceroos! It was Tim Cahill! How did I not notice before?
"Thanks, cheers," I hear Kyle reply.

"Do you play around hear kid?"

"Ah yeah, about 45minutes North, myself and my brother Liam play for and under 24's league. In fact, we have a Grandfinal this Saturday," Kyle says trying to start a conversation, "We are actually lucky enough the game is being held at Suncorp Stadium."

"Good on you boys, say, maybe my team can have a day off training and we'll come see you play? We have to go now, but it was nice meeting you and we'll try to make that game, See you then." Cahill says With a smile, and gesturing his hand out for a handshake, along with the other 2 men.
Kyle is the first to Reach out and shake, and I follow.

Woah. That was unreal. We had both just met Timmy Cahill! What a legend, and he even wants to come watch us play!

"I'm so glad you brought me hear Kyle, and so happy you're a great striker," I tell him, and we both walk over to his Dump of a car with A huge smile on our faces, ready for the drive home.

AN: As a soccer (football) player myself, and other sports, the updates might be a day or two slow, but they will keep coming Untill the end of the story 😊 Hope you enjoyed!!
