Prologue

"If we're 30 and we are both not married, you're my Plan B."

Napalingon ako sa kanya ng sinabi nya iyon. My brows raised.

"What comes in your mind and you think I'll agree?" I asked.

He chuckled and leaned towards me. We're sitting in front of each other inside a cafe where we used to meet.

"Because you love me," he confidently said. Napailing ako at uminom sa kape na hawak.

"We're 23." I pointed out and he nodded.

"And we're both in a fucked up life, busy with studies." He added.

"And I'm a law student while you're in med school." I added too. He smirked and leaned on his chair.

"And I'm single, you too. We knew each other for a lot of years already and we're friends." He pointed out. I narrowed my eyes at him and shooked my head.

"I don't want to ruin my life yet by marrying you." I said that made him laughed. Napalingon ang iba sa amin dahil sa kanya.

"I'll be a good husband." He tried to defend himself but stopped right away because he knew he won't win.

Because I'll surrender right away.

"I'll think about it." I said and sipped on my drink again. Sobrang kalat ng lamesa namin dahil may laptop at maraming papel doon. May mga libro pa sa gilid kaya agaw pansin kami.

"You don't trust me, bro?!" He dramatically asked that made me sighed.

Who would marry a man like this?

"I don't. You're an asshole. Besides, I don't want to get stressed. You don't know how to cook-."

"I can cook!" He cutted me.

"You don't know how to do a laundry-."

"Kaya ko!" He interrupted again.

"You need to be reminded about everything. You need to be woke up every morning. You need help for almost everything-."

"Fine, fine." He surrendered. Napaawang ang labi ko ng ituon nya ang atensyon sa laptop sa harapan at nagsimulang mag type don habang nagbabasa ng mga nasa papel.

See? He's childish.

I sighed and shooked my head because of disappointment. Disappointment at myself.

"Fine." I said that made his lips curved upwards.
