Marinette runs up the Eiffel Tower, nervously looking behind her. She makes it to the top level, and looks around, still running.
Marinette hits the railing. She tries to find another way down...
Lila walks out of the stairway, smirking.
Marinette nervously backs up, speeding up, trying to avoid Lila.
The railing comes up faster than she expects...
Marinette's going too fast...
She stumbles, and her momentum causes her to slip over the edge of the railing...
Marinette screams as she begins to fall.
Lila freezes in horror.
Time seems to slow down...
Marinette's friends scream as they watch her fall...
Down...
Down...
The heroes are nowhere to be seen!
Down...
Down...
Tears stream from Marinette's eyes, her voice lost in the wind.
CRACK!
Time goes back to normal...
But it's too late.
Chat Noir arrives.
Ladybug is nowhere to be seen...
Marinette's friends ran over, sobbing.
Lila makes it down the Eiffel Tower, in shock.
Chat Noir leaves in tears...
Adrien arrives a few minutes later. He'd heard the news.
Marinette's parents come out of their house. Someone behind them carries a coffin. A simple wooden box.
A man comes out, and picks up Marinette's body, gently putting it inside the coffin.
The coffin is carried off, the funeral planning is begun.
Author's Note: Love how the first thing I do in this FanFic is kill off the main character...
Like, sometimes the main character dies at the end of a book, but I just straight up killed Marinette in the prologue!
